    Monday night Malakai Lee Members of the Texas staff spoke with Michigan verbal and 4-star++ OT Malakai Lee (Honolulu, Hi./Kamehameha) for a while again today. Texas continues to feel like there is a shot at the 6-6.5, 315 pounder with an 85-inch wingspan and 10.5 inch hands.

    If Ole Miss was 9-3 and out of the playoff, this wouldn’t be as messy. The timing and the messed up calendar drove it more than any coach or admin IMO Was going to be very messy due to Ole Miss being a playoff team

    Are you okay with the threats the Ole Miss administration made to him? If so What's truly the difference? It was always going to end messy. Tough situation for all parties IMO.

    I really don't care about a twitter post, just being real. These things are always going to be messy when a coach leaves, especially to go to a rival or conference school. Lane wanted to coach that team (have his cake and eat it too, of course). We are also entering a different time in CFP when there are going to be more teams in playoffs and even more in the future - this will happen again, and likely more than once. Ole Miss AD decide they didn't want him to coach in the playoffs. Then they are all going to get after each other. Both will start trying to make each other look bad. All part of it.

    I have no problem with him wanting to coach Ole Miss in the playoffs. The rest of the "reported" stuff. I'm not close enough to it. Do I believe all of it? Of course not.

    These coaching changes are always difficult ... but the Ole Miss reporters and fans are such a classic on this one. Just too much butt-hurt to look logically that LSU is a much better long term program for a coach.

    Texas has been in the low to 35 mill range. Will likely drop a little due to rev share. 25-30 is going to be the spot most of the top powers will play around in the next couple of years IMO
