  1. A FREQUENT FACE IN THE AP POLL • The Longhorns are currently ranked No. 5 in both the AP Poll and Coaches Poll. • Texas has been ranked in the Top 25 of both major polls for 31-straight weeks, including 25 consecutive weeks in the Top 10 and has earned a spot among the Top 5 in each 12 of the last 13 polls. That’s the longest AP Top 25 ranking streak since Mack Brown’s Longhorns were ranked among that poll's Top 25 for a UT-best 162-straight weeks (fifth-longest in AP Poll history) from 2000-10. • Texas' streak of 31-consecutive weeks ranked in the AP Top 25 is the eighth-longest streak in the country and fourth-longest by an SEC team. • Texas was unanimous No. 1 in both the AP Poll and AFCA Coaches Poll for two weeks (Oct. 5-Oct. 20) and held the top spot in at least one of the two major polls for five-straight weeks. That was the Horns longest streak at No. 1 since 1977 when they topped both polls for six consecutive weeks. • Texas was ranked among the Top 25 of the Coaches Poll for a school-best 208-straight weeks from 1998-2010. • The 25 straight weeks in the Top 10 is the best since the Longhorns spent 38-straight weeks in the Top 10 of one of the polls from 2007-10. UT’s streak in The AP Top 10 reached 34 during that stretch. • The Top 5 streak of 11 weeks in a row that snapped on Oct. 20 was the longest streak since the Horns were ranked in the Top 5 of one of the polls for 32 weeks in-arow from 2007-10 (30-straight in the AP Top 5). • Texas has made 784 all-time appearances in the Associated Press Top 25, which debuted in 1936. Alabama and Oklahoma are the league’s only other current members to be featured in the AP Top 25 on more than 700 occasions.
  2. BY THE NUMBERS 7 Texas, along with Miami (FL), leads the country in the number of players with multiple touchdown receptions this season. UT and Miami each have seven players who have recorded 2+ receiving touchdowns: Texas - 7, Miami - 7, Baylor - 6, Clemson - 6, JMU - 6, Western Kentucky - 6, Boston College - 5, Syracuse - 5, Indiana - 5, Mississippi State - 5, Pitt - 5, Texas Tech - 5, Utah State - 5, North Texas - 5, Texas State - 5, Georgia - 5, Tulane - 5, Marshall - 5, LSU - 5. 12 UT's 12 interceptions leads the Southeastern Conference this season. 16 Texas' total offense ranks 16th nationally (453.1). 16 UT's scoring offense sits 16th nationally 37.6 ppg). 16 Quinn Ewers sports a 19-game streak with at least one passing touchdown, dating back to the 2022 season. That streak is the longest by a Texas QB since Colt McCoy from 2007-09.
  3. SARK'S STAMPEDE • Under head coach Steve Sarkisian, the Longhorns are 21-4 in their last 25 games with their only four losses coming against top-12 teams. • In Sarkisian's first 22 games as head coach at Texas, UT went 11-11. • Since the start of the 2023 season UT is 19-3 (0.863) with the only three losses against AP top-12 ranked foes. • Texas is 15-3 at home over the last three seasons with its only three losses to top-5 ranked foes (No. 5/4 Georgia on Oct. 19, No. 1/1 Alabama in 2022 and No. 4/4 TCU in 2022). • Texas has won nine of its last 10 conference games, dating back to the Oct. 21, 2023. • The Horns had won eight straight conference matchups before Georgia snapped the streak on Oct.19. • Through seven games this season, the Texas offense under Steve Sarkisian is averaging 453.1 yards per game and 6.5 yards per play. The yards per game is tracking close to the UT single-season record set in 2005 (512.1) The yards per play would be on pace to be second behind only the 1993 team (7.44). Last season’s offense finished third (477.5) and fourth (6.67) in those categories, respectively. The current 294.7 passing yards per game is also inching close to a UT single--season record, held by the 2008 team (308.3).
  4. • Last time out, Texas defeated No. 25/25 Vanderbilt, 27-24, on the road in Nashville on Oct. 26. It marked UT's ninth-straight road win. Texas also won its first ever football game played in Nashville, Tenn., against Vanderbilt. The win for Texas clinched the first true road win by either team in the series history.
  5. • The Longhorns are fresh off playing three-straight AP Top 25 opponents - then-ranked No. 18-16 Oklahoma on Oct. 12 (34-3 W), then-ranked No. 5/4 Georgia on Oct. 19 (30-15 L) and then-ranked No. 25/25 Vanderbilt on Oct. 26 (27-24 W). Texas has three victories against ranked opponents this season with two coming on the road and one at a neutral site.

  9. Get in your Texas A&M questions early!
  10. I'm on the road today ... keep the thread updated!
  11. Was told Tramon Mark is officially "Day to day".
  12. Haha. Tre Johnson plays his first game at Texas Monday ... time to get the loppers out!
  13. Kaluma has been out with the first five the entire practices ... but who knows!
  14. Weird play too on the injury That’s a significant hammy tear to get carted off
  15. Interested to see if he still wants to hang out on the perimeter mostly in year two
  16. I would like that personally … with Larry And Weaver is really good off the bench
  17. Weaver for me … but could see it with Weaver or Larry
  18. Thing that would worry me if I'm A&M ... Auburn is 0-3 at home in SEC play. They are due for a win. Aggies should win the game, but damn if Auburn isn't due to win a home game. Maybe they are just too beat down at this point. We shall see.
  19. I can see Georgia losing a game too ... for same reason. Beck is awful right now.
  20. 1000% Texas A&M matches up very well with Texas, assuming the Texas OL doesn't play at a very high level. The home field is worth 8-10 points in that game IMO.
  21. The SEC Race: Potential knockout games this weekend Five teams legitimately remain in the race to advance to the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta December 7. That is barring a number of upsets that change the course, to be clear. This weekend, it's Georgia on the road and LSU at home with difficult contests that could shift the conference race. The five teams with one loss are Georgia, Texas, Texas A&M, Tennessee and LSU. Four of the contenders play each other later in the month, but there are still tough games before the head-to-head battles to get to Atlanta take place. OnTexasFootball provides a run down of the five teams schedules to start the week. Georgia (5-1) Remaining schedule: 11/9 at Ole Miss 11/16 vs. Tennessee 11/23 vs. UMass 11/30 vs. Georgia Tech Georgia heads to Oxford with Jaxson Dart having a lot of confidence, and Carson Beck arguably playing the worst of any SEC quarterback with 11 INT's in the last five games. Texas A&M (5-1) Remaining schedule: 11/9 bye 11/16 New Mexico State 11/23 at Auburn 11/30 vs. Texas Texas A&M has to navigate the game at Auburn to set up a winner gets in the playoff scenario game vs. Texas to end the regular season. Texas (3-1) Remaining schedule: 11/9 vs. Florida 11/16 at Arkansas 11/23 vs. Kentucky 11/30 at Texas A&M The game at Texas A&M is still shaping up as a winner locks up a spot in the college football playoff, as of right now. Tennessee (4-1) Remaining schedule: 11/9 vs. Mississippi State 11/16 at Georgia 11/23 vs. UTEP 11/30 at Vanderbilt The Vols have the toughest road schedule remaining to navigate, with the Georgia game a knockout game. LSU (3-1) Remaining schedule: 11/9 vs. Alabama 11/16 at Florida 11/23 vs. Vanderbilt 11/30 vs. Oklahoma LSU's schedule is set up to finish strong with three home games remaining. Need help Alabama (3-2) Ole Miss (3-2)
  22. Poor UF fans if that happens. I'm betting it's Kiffin. Sexton will control UF's hire - assuming they have one IMO
