    I'm not sure one could label a player with 160 tackles, 13 sacks, 6 forced fumbles and 2 INT's in his career through 1/4 of way through junior season a bust. He's been a very productive player in college. If he stays healthy, he will leave college with 200+ tackles, 15+ sacks, and causes a lot of TO's for a LB/hybrid in a three season period of time. IMO, he will go rip up testing at the combine, and be a highly drafted player - whether that is 2nd round, or shot at late 1st (due to testing and upside).

    I agree. They are improved from 77th last year, no doubt. But are they a top 20 defense? Probably more like 40-45. But they need to be a top 20 D with that schedule against the five best offensive minds in the SEC.

    Injury note on Texas WR commitment OnTexasFootball spoke briefly with Texas 4-star++ wide receiver commitment Jaime Ffrench (Jacksonville, Fla./Mandarin) last night. Ffrench sustained a a finger injury in last Friday's win on a tremendous catch and run. Without going into too many details, the news OTF wants to relay to the fans is that Ffrench is only expected to miss 2-3 games. He is expected to play again this season for Mandarin High. Ffrench also told OTF that he will be in Austin for the Texas vs Georgia game, along with family members.

    BTW, Georgia All-American guard Tate Ratledge out until November 2 vs. Florida ... per reports Monday. That's a substantial loss even for Georgia. You don't replace All-American's easily on any OL. Dawgs are shuffling on the OL right now in practice to get best five on the field.

    This week is huge for just how much the OU defense has improved from 2023. They were 77th overall in defense last year. They are probably more of a top 40-45 defense as the season plays out (not vaulting into the top 15-20), but we shall see starting Saturday against Tennessee.
