  1. Haha. Love it. Who knows on that ... Rockets aren't winning it this year unless they trade for a PG ... VanVleet injury was crushing If Wemby stays healthy with the young nucleus being built around him... he'll likely get 1-2. He's like nothing I've ever seen before, but that body isn't built for longevity either.
  2. We are now witnessing a 7’4” guard skills player that has to be defended by bigs (really skilled NBA bigs to be clear), and is the best rim protector in the world on the other end. What he did last night to Anthony Davis and Derek Lively was pure basketball insanity.
  3. Well done! Haha @Sarah O I was just responding!!!

  5. Definitely not a slouch. Very good PG, wing/guards and a 7'1" Turkish big that will play pro ball for a decade. They are considered a NCAA Tournament level team this year. They were last year until the PG went down in ACC play. They would have won 28-29 games and been a 6-7 seed more than likely. https://kenpom.com/
  6. Possibly, but he sure likes to recruit in Texas. So much is timing. He has a young QB in CJ Carr he believes he can win an NC with, and not sure I disagree. And his wife's family still resides in Ohio, I believe.
  7. I'm different on the Florida job. It's a GREAT job. Tougher conference and path, but a guy like Freeman would absolutely crush recruiting in Florida and in the SEC region (including Texas).
  8. I wonder if he would only consider leaving for Ohio State (alma mater) or Texas
  9. Rockets losing PG VanVleet to ACL did them in ... unless they can make a trade. Bad luck, because they had the pieces to truly challenge.
  10. Marcus Freeman was No. 1 for the Gators per a couple of reports. He turned it down.
  11. Texas didn't bring them in for OV. They will go to USC Texas is all in on Austin Goosby and Cameron Williams.
  12. For sure there are. But I could see a scenario where they ultimately lose in court in a few years IMO, and an NFL player will end up being able to go play in "college" unless the NFL and NCAA/colleges get together relatively quickly and solidify the future. I guess where I come out is college sports is no longer amateur. It's pro sports now. If they are both professional, not sure a court case couldn't be won eventually - even if drafted.
  13. Don't believe so. It's because the NCAA is allowing players from overseas pro leagues who were paid professionals to be eligible for NCAA basketball.
  14. Yep. Scrimmage at TCU coming up Saturday as the final warmup
  15. Only a matter of time until some guys on NFL taxi squads of cut from NFL teams try and take it to court to be able to return to college if their eligibility clock says they can.
  16. With all the high number of international players looking to come to college hoops to cash in on NIL contracts better than their pro deals, the NCAA is now ruling eligibility by what would be a NCAA clock vs. having been paid to play professional sports. College athletics is now pro sports due to NIL, so no stopping it in the future IMO.
  17. This where we are headed in college sports, currently. At least in basketball. See if any baseball minor leaguers with eligibility on their NCAA clock try and make the move to college for NIL cash. Thierry Darlan eligible this season for Santa Clara. Averaged 11 points and six rebounds in the G-league. Santa Clara now has a 18-20 and 10-11 guy in college this season. A 6-7.5 guard doing it. https://frontofficesports.com/santa-clara-thierry-darlan-g-league/ Louisville signed G-league PG London Johnson He played 30 games in the G-league, a two year contract worth 1.1 million https://www.si.com/college/louisville/football/nba-g-league-guard-commits
  18. Agreed. I think any of those three should do well
  19. Davis made OV's to UCLA, Utah, Oklahoma State and Kansas State before picking the Bruins originally.
