  1. Marco Jones is one of those EDGE/LB types Texas has been in contact with for over a year. Choate was recruiting him for Texas, and Nansen has taken over. Doesn't have a visit date locked in yet, so like others could get serious if he get on campus in the spring. Baseball player too. Dad played at Colorado back in the day.
  2. For sure. He will be a 3.98-4.05 5-10-5 laser shuttle guy
  3. Agree 100% on helping recruit nationally. One of the reasons Miami Hurricanes kept so many at home in their late 80's and early 90's run was because kids never went out in 7v7 teams and saw places around the country. Not to take away from Miami and what a great place it can be to live/etc... as a college athlete, but kids had nothing to compare it to from a football and college life stand point.
  4. Marcus Harris if Texas makes big push. That's what so much depends on for me ... Tanook Hines - if they push in spring Emmanuel Choice - if they push in spring Jacorey Watson - if they push in spring Texas is in it for sure for Dakorien Moore. Working to catch up on Kaliq Lockett.
  5. Agree 100%. Got some X Worthy in his frame, movement skills and acceleration speed
  6. Lol Yes you did read that correctly!
  7. Huge fan of this portal addition. Guys with something to prove with one year remaining being added to an already very talented roster ... perfect fit And punt return capability.
  8. Not that I know of. May be thinking of recent DL Josiah Sharma (Folsom High) … lived in Arlington for a while, and has some family in Austin
  9. It’s weird to me. And if at any point Texas doesn’t make Brown a priority- they are flat out wrong.
  10. I’m same as I have been … Woodfork is one of the EDGE prospects Texas continues to evaluate. Along with Smith Orogbo from Hastings Texas really likes Kamauryn Morgan at Dallas SOC too.

  12. Four-star WR Kelshaun Johnson locks in two official visits Hitchcock (Texas) High 2025 wide receiver and OnTexasFootball 4-star Kelshaun Johnson has locked in two official visit dates, and a third date could follow soon. Johnson, 5-11 and 165, told OnTexasFootball that he has official visits locked in for Penn State May 31-June 2 and Texas Tech June 7-9. The Nittany Lions have been all in on the Houston area speedy playmaker since offering June 21, 2023. That includes multiple FaceTime calls with head coach James Franklin. Texas Tech is leaning on teammate and good friend Lloyd Jones. Jones, 6-3, 210, committed to the Red Raiders November 4, 2023. Johnson told OnTexasFootball that he is also in discussions with Texas and Kansas about June official visits. The Longhorns' staff has mentioned the last weekend in June. That would be the big recruiting weekend for the Longhorns. The Longhorns offered Johnson June 11, 2023 after a standout camp performance. Wide receivers coach Chris Jackson, area recruiter Blake Gideon and head coach Steve Sarkisian have remained in constant communication since that time. He attended Texas Junior Day January 20, as well as Texas A&M Junior Day January 27. OnTexasFootball continues to feel like Texas is in a very good spot headed into the spring evaluation period. Johnson is up to 23 offers after Florida, Utah, Houston, TCU, Arkansas and UTEP in January. Johnson is currently on the hardwood for the defending 3A State Champions. He will focus on track after the conclusion of basketball season. He posted a personal best of 10.49 (wind-aided) in the 100 meters last spring.

  14. Yep. Washington and Michigan are stout competition. The loss of Jim Harbaugh doesn't knock out Michigan. It's been Sherrone Moore recruiting Mills the entire way for the Wolverines.
  15. John Mills junior season HUDL: http://www.hudl.com/v/2M311F
  16. John Mills locks in Texas official visit The Texas Longhorns offered 2025 offensive lineman John Mills (San Francisco, Calif./St. Ignatius Prep) on September 16, 2023. Since that time, offensive line coach Kyle Flood has made Mills a priority in the 2025 cycle. That includes multiple trips to San Fransisco to see Mills. And Mills and family have made three visits to Austin in less than a year. The 6-6, 325-pound IOL prospect and OnTexasFootball 4-star informed OTF Monday morning that his official visit date to Texas will be June 14-16. Texas initially talked to Mills about the last weekend in June, but his family will be out of the country that week/weekend. Mills currently sports 17 offers. Since Texas offered in September, Mills has added Power 5 offers from Nebraska, Michigan, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Utah, TCU, USC, Texas A&M, Florida, Penn State and Arkansas. Washington was his first offer in 2022. He made January Junior Day visits to Texas (January 19-20) and Florida (January 27-28). He has been on campus at Washington and Michigan multiple times in the last year. Mills comes from a family of college athletes with multiple family members having played at the University of Washington.

  18. 100% agree with you. Mukuba, second year Derek Williams plus one more youngster stepping up and the secondary will take a big step ... and it has to as the athleticism on the other side of the field in 2024 is taking a big step up.
  19. I think more than any early meaningless flip chatter ... Brown getting on campus in March will be the key moving forward for Texas and Brown. IMO, he will sign with an SEC school.
