  1. Chace Sims talks Texas offer Texas defensive line coach Kenny Baker's offer spree Tuesday included one of the best in the Houston area in 2025. Richmond (Texas) Randle defensive tackle Chace Sims began Tuesday with 13 offers, with LSU being the most recent February 24. Sims, 6-3 and 285 pounds, ended the day with one of the offers he has been waiting on. "Man, the Texas offer is big," Sims told OnTexasFootball Tuesday night. "Just like A&M and LSU, being from Texas it’s really big. Watching them on TV, I could always see myself playing there." The Randle High staff had been telling Sims to expect call from Kenny Baker for the last few days, and that call came with an unexpected offer yesterday. "He (Kenny Baker) was great. He has that real southern accent. He said he wants tough players. He seems like he’s real passionate, and that inspired me. He called me and told me he liked my film. He said I'm a really tough guy, and wants tough guys on the defensive line at Texas." The conversation immediately went to getting Sims on campus after the offer was made. And Sims is already locked in for a weekend in April "Coach Baker invited me up on April 6. I plan to visit that weekend." Spring unofficial visit schedule LSU - March 9 Texas -April 6 Texas A&M - April 20 spring game Official visits SMU - May 17-19 TCU - June 7-9 Texas A&M or Texas Tech - June 21-23 Sims was dominant at times as a junior. He posted 86 tackles, 18 tackles for loss and 11 sacks in 2023. He's currently competing in track and field in the shot put. He has a PR of 47'3" last year, and is closing in on that throw a couple of weeks into the 2024 season. View full news

  4. No way to answer that right now. The OOS offers that have never been to campus are currently a 0% chance. See who Texas gets to campus, then the recruitments get real. And then it's who takes OV this summer.
  5. I'm going straight of off my opinion watching video and research. We will do more with them in the future too!
  6. The third TE currently in the mix ... also OV'ing June 21-23
  7. Five-star WR locks in Texas official visit Sachse (Texas) High wide receiver Kaliq Lockett will make an unofficial visit to Texas April 6, but that will not be his last trip to the Forty Acres. Lockett, 6-2 and 175 pounds, told OnTexasFootball Wednesday morning that he has locked in an official visit to Texas. That visit will be June 21-23. The DFW area wide receiver with very high-end body control and 10.25 inch hands was offered by the Longhorns December 7. Following the offer were visits to Sachse High by Steve Sarkisian, Chris Jackson and Tashard Choice in December and January. OnTexasFootball stopped by Sachse High last week, and spoke with Lockett to get his thoughts on Texas headed into the April 6 visit. "Man, I was on the phone with Coach Sark last week and I talk to Coach (Chris) Jackson on a week-to-week basis," Lockett said February 27. "And I touch base with Coach (Tashard) Choice too. So the coaches and I stay in touch, and I can't wait to get back to Texas." That visit to Texas will be a first in over a year, and the message is clear by Sarkisian and Jackson. "I was there for Junior Day last year (January 2023). Coach Sark's message is that I'm a top target for Texas right now. And Coach Jackson has stressed that too." Lockett is also being recruited by Texas 2025 quarterback commitment K.J. Lacey (Saraland, Ala./High). "Oh yeah, I'm in contact with K.J. He's telling me to go ahead and slide to Texas. He wants to be my quarterback." Lockett also knows Johntay Cook II and Xavier Filsaime from the TexasFlex 7v7 program. He speaks with Cook frequently. Before Lockett makes the April 6 visit to Texas, the DFW area fast rising star will make a trip of visits. "I have Florida State March 9, Penn State March 14, Ohio State March 22-23, Texas on April 6, LSU April 12 and Texas A&M April 20. And it could be more.
