  1. We are separating the Texas-OU rivalry into two threads with the off week. This week, it's the OU Hate Week Thread. Post anything and everything you have on the Sooners and your hate! Next week will be game week thread.
  2. I spy a sycophant. lol Try harder.
  3. Will be interesting. Michigan has four road games, and three are currently ranked. Can they score enough points away from home? And they still have Oregon at home. That would be truly impressive if Michigan goes 10-2 in the regular season with one of the worst passing game offenses in CFB this year.
  4. Texas and Texas A&M liked others better in the 2022 cycle ... Texas signed Jaydon Blue, had Jamarion Miller committed until he flipped to Bama, went after Trevonte Citizen out of Lake Charles Texas A&M Leveon Moss (Louisiana) and also went after Citizen.
  5. I was part of a national ranking team at the time ... we had him inside the top 300 nationally. That put him in the top 55 in Texas. Rivals had him as a 2-star, which threw his industry ranking way down and off.
  6. He's got the chance to be a 10,000+ yard NFL career level RB IMO
  7. Make sure and tune in once this year before he goes pro. He's looking potentially special this year. Looks like a potential future multi-year NFL All-Pro level RB. 82-845 for 10.3 per carry and 13 TD's in 4 games, including 192 on Oregon and 26-259 on Washington State last night. That's after 1,347 rushing and 569 receiving and 19 TD's as a sophomore.
  8. Here's one on Kalen DeBoer ... from the stats ... Blake Munroe passed along 30-3 as a Power 5/4 HC 6-0 combined vs. Dan Lanning, Steve Sarkisian and Kirby Smart. He won't always be undefeated against Kirby and Sark, but a wild stat to start his P5/4 HC career
  9. Oklahoma's scheduled the rest of the way and the poll: 1. Texas (N) 11. @ Ole Miss 9. @ Missouri 2. Alabama 12. @ LSU
  10. Texas future opponents: 17. Oklahoma 5. Georgia 21. Texas A&M
  11. Per ESPN rankings page ... 1. Texas (29 1st place votes) 2. Alabama (19) 3. Ohio State (7) 4. Tennessee 5. Georgia 6. Oregon 7. Penn State 8. Miami 9. Missouri 10. Michigan https://www.espn.com/college-football/rankings
  12. Didn't sour anyone last night that I would expect, or heard. Texas is lining up for the UGA game in recruiting. Mississippi State didn't have very many top targets in attendance that weren't already committed. The UGA vs. Bama game was where the targets were at Saturday: Joseph Mbatchou, Dijon Lee, Tyler Atkinson, etc...
  13. I hear the argument. My opinion is just different. Bama was also without both starting OT's in that game.
  14. Again, just my opinion. Texas isn't my No. 1 after their performance Saturday. I just am not going there. It wasn't good. But they played a really bad team. But lets see what happens the next couple of games.
  15. It's all going to be positive from recruits ... Texas is winning and ranked No. 1. The key 2025 recruitments remaining will play out into October/November.
  16. Kentucky winning at Ole Miss changes the narrative coming out of the Georgia @ Kentucky game for me.
  17. We shall see. Texas defense hasn't faced a good QB or offensive team yet. If they pass that test, then I can go there. But we all need to see it.
  18. I hear that for sure. Bama had those three TO's against USF that kept it close, then turned on the afterburners. I just can't have Texas 1 after Saturday. Mississippi State is a very bad football team. Like 2-10/3-9 bad. Arizona State rushed for about 300 yards on them. Toledo (23-28), Florida (26-28) and Texas (26-31) have completed 87% of passes on the Bulldogs the last three weeks. Mississippi State is really bad in pass pro, started a true freshman in his first game ... and Texas has to stop turning the ball over - they essentially had three Saturday counting a dropped TD pass by Cook on 3rd down. Texas got beat deep a few times too, but State can't really take advantage (one the WR lost ball looking back into the sun). Couldn't get off the field in the first half defensively. Wins are wins, but that was a bad game Saturday IMO. But, Alabama could go do the same next week too. We shall see.
  19. Don't disagree from a singular game standpoint because it was on the road. Michigan is legit on defense, and will be so long as their offense gives enough hope. The Wolverines should be an 8-4/9-3 level team if they don't have internal issues as the season moves along.
  20. They kicked that dude off ... RaRa Thomas. I really do think the off the field issues are starting to catch up. But they are still so talented.
  21. So the first half doesn't count? How about two of the top 3 coaches in CFB with very talented teams produced a tremendous game. Alabama has two true game changers on offense in Milroe and Williams. Isn't that part of the whole enchilada? Having game changing players make big plays? Bama still had over 200 yards of offense in the second half, despite Georgia finding success in the third quarter and putting together long drives.
  22. Agreed on the top 5. Zero perfect teams in CFB ... I think the era of truly great teams over a period of time are long gone with the portal.
