    You can’t hope and expect to get tackles in the portal after losing DT recruiting battles. At some point we are going to need to be more aggressive in our NIL at this spot. We just are. If you want to compete at the highest level this is the spot. Texas shouldn’t get outgunned anyway for guys they want Not in the NIL age.

    Hadn’t thought of that angle. Nice nugget there. Yeah it definitely matters. Familiarity matters and Elko will have some with Sarkisian too. Sarkisian destroyed his defense in their two meetings. Scoring 45 and 52 points. Now Texas doesn’t have that talent but it’s not crazy far off either.
