  1. I saw a stat yesterday (can't remember who posted to give credit), but that essentially 16% of the league was on the injury report yesterday, and that was with 6 teams who didn't play on Wednesday. So many high profile names too
  2. Sucks for Toronto, I know they had.. aspirations of a big year
  3. Cooper Flagg entering into legit All-NBA discussions.. That dude is NICE
  4. An LSU home game in the afternoon? I must be dreaming! A shame Texas will 100% without a doubt be a night game
  5. So, funny story. I blew my patellar tendon in Sept. 2021 playing left guard in D2 ball. As the surgeon, who did knee surgeries for Sam Bradford and Adrian Peterson, among others described it, it's a "traumatic, violent injury" if it's a full tear of the tendon (mine was). Basically, rough A&P lesson says the patellar tendon connects the upper leg muscles to the lower leg muscles. Essentially, can't put any weight on that leg because, well, it doesn't work. Rehab didn't start for 6 weeks post-op and really wasn't back to feeling like myself until spring of 2023, which was nearly 18 months. It's an injury you can make a full recovery from, especially if you have University of Texas/NFL level of care instead of D2 football care. However, definitely an invasive procedure (had 22 staples) with a very not fun rehab. The level of athlete he is plus the level of care he'll get, he might be able to push and be back around August/Sept. next year. But without a doubt, his offseason and any spring/OTA type stuff is nuked.
  6. Feels like to me he'd go pro as long as he doesn't lose the starting job, He's imperfect for sure but I wonder if the family would rather get him into an NFL situation where he can sit and watch for a bit
  7. Optimistic that if they lose i can simply just black out at the bar and forget it even happened
  8. Excited to hear how it goes with the blanks firing on Tuesday/Wednesday. Either way, as the great man Bob Knight said, “The greatest motivator in the world is your ass on the bench. Ass meets bench, bench retains ass, ass transmits signals to the brain, brain transmits signals to the body, body gets ass off bench and plays better. It’s a hell of a sequence.” Hopefully it’s true for Arch if he’s QB1 Saturday
  9. If they aren’t pushing for 40 burgers over the rest of the month, I’ll be very concerned. Even if it’s not real improvement at first, perhaps seeing some inflated scores on the board will give that offense confidence for when they hit the road in November! The important part about predicting a 10-2 record is that you have to lose twice
  10. Was coming in here to say this lol. All to unranked teams no less! Only fitting that as this recruitment stumbles and fumbles towards the finish line that the teams do the same. Good news is someone must win in Austin next week!
  11. https://x.com/longhornhq/status/2109122992135610431?s=46 was immediately the first thing I thought of when he trotted the kicker out this time
  12. Yeah it’s definitely part of it. It’s tough because what they did clearly got them out of the mud that he inherited. But at the same time you can’t keep testing the definition of insanity. They have to change some of the staff though, it’s stale with banks and flood
  13. Don’t think it could necessarily be a bad thing. They need some old habits to die hard, but not sure I trust this brain trust to make it happen
  14. Have to assume that the message wasn’t being delivered without there being a loss to really get their attention. At least that’s what I’m hoping, otherwise we’re in for a long one.
  15. That 4th & 2 should eat Sark alive. Man or mouse and he cowered up like a dog. With how aggressive they’ve shown to be in so many spots, just a horrible decision. Go win the game! the defense shouldn’t be exempt either, though. They committed some awful penalties to allow OU to sustain drives that were just needless
  16. I just don’t understand how in less than a month we’ve gone from “winners win baby, you gotta go for it” to whatever the hell that was on 4th & 2. That’s each of the last 2 losses in this game where Sark has been asked if he is man or mouse and he has picked mouse twice. Just don’t get why he turns conservative in this spot
  17. I tend to think UTSA is an anomoly. Arch was awesome down the stretch against tOSU, continuing on from what he was at the end of last year. The meep meep's caught Texas in one of the all-time sandwich spots (after tOSU, before @ Tennessee) and it's very clear that everyone came out a bit sleepy and just happy to move it on. I expect a big bounce back against the Vols, who have yet to see a test like the one they'll get on Saturday
  18. Understandable why it got some outrage, so glad he put it to bed. Seemed like my algorithm turned into an "Arch is a bad human who condones DV" fest and man that was awfully annoying. Bad question, bad answer, and now we can finally just move on to UTSA
  19. I'll stick with the defensive side of the ball but I'll go more big picture. I am drinking the Muschamp kool-aid. I think the defense will be improved on a havoc basis, and even if they give up a couple more ppg, they'll more than make up for it with turnovers created
  20. Need the butter shirts asap
