The Longhorn Network will have recaps of the Pro Day airing tonight as well, I suspect it will be a thirty minute program that repeats multiple times.

Great to hear that about Trey Moore. Being compared to Roschon? As Nic Cage would say, “High praise. High praise, indeed.” I consume so much Texas info, it’s hard to remember where I heard/read it (maybe from Bobby/Gerry) but I seem to recall reading Moore has a pretty big chip on his shoulder from being under recruited, and he’s incredibly driven. Those are the dudes you want. And no disrespect intended to Trill, but hearing Savea is an upgrade is no surprise. We’re going to be really good.

The world has changed quite a bit, I have a friend who had twins graduate HS a couple years ago and they literally already had their junior college degree accomplished as well. So two years of college already in the books, and I’m sure that’s not unusual. I would have loved that back in the day, but my school only had one room and the candle kept blowing out!

But even with that number of carries, it’s a lot less wear and tear if you never get tackled 😂. Watch the Hudl guys, Rickey literally doesn’t get tackled until the 5:41 mark. I don’t know if it’s great blocking, great vision by RS, crappy opposition, but he’ll often go untouched on some really, really long runs. I know we can afford to be choosy, but I love this kid’s love for Texas (CJ and Gerry have reported on how moved he was to get the offer) and his tape shows a special talent, so I would like to see him hop in the boat soon and be a recruiter for us.

What a beneficial confluence of events for Sark: #1, having Jimmy F’ing Sexton as your agent, coming off a conference championship season, CFP appearance, program headed in the right direction with player development, recruiting, fan engagement, etc., then the coaching dominos start falling with the Big Cheese in Tuscaloosa calling it quits and the ensuing coaching musical chairs… and everyone KNOWING you could have that Alabama job if you want it… wow. Go earn it coach, you’ve made a lot of fans and defied a lot of skeptics over the last few years. Good for you and Miss Loreal.

A QB needs to be evaluated on the entire tape and not just the positive plays, but the anticipation is phenomenal on some of those throws. He really places the ball where the receiver will be in a few strides rather than making the receiver adjust to his throw. Appears to have a very high upside. Thanks for the update!

He’s ridiculously chill on the field and a great finisher on his runs. Sorry for the comparison, but I’m seeing a lot of similarity to a kid who won a Heisman a little over a decade ago in CS, hope Jared’s nothing like him off the field.

The official Texas Football site will usually put a version on its site and on YouTube. I liked catching the live versions of the in-season Monday newser on LHN because you saw it all… the ones released by the university may contain edits.

It’s so easy… and unfortunate… to forget or put out of mind these youngsters who redshirted. Samaje was a great cheerleader for his class, and no doubt worked his ass off like everyone else, learning, getting stronger. I appreciate the patience. Here’s to a great 2024, I hope he gets chances to be a significant contributor and have reason for many backflips.
