I mentioned it this morning on Coffee & Football and missed the opportunity to really land it. As we're 12 days away from the first game of the season, today marks 12 months to the day from when @Bobby Burton announced I'd be joining the OTF team as a regular contributor. Thank you for the opportunity Bobby. It's truly been a pleasure and it's been great getting to know you and everyone on the squad better. One of my best friends, Natasha Hastings, is actually the one who reminded me when she texted me last week saying "so how's it feel to be heading into year 2?" At first, I was a little confused and then it dawned on me what she was referencing. Tash is a 2x Olympic Gold medalist on the American 4x400m relay in track, holds multiple World Championship Gold medals, used to train in Austin for years and is a South Carolina Gamecock to the core. The fact that she's become a regular OTF viewer (and essentially an honorary Longhorn) is pretty wild to me, yet it speaks to what's been built here. It's hard to believe it's really been a full year already and I can't thank everyone that comments in the chats and message board threads (even you @Joe Zura 😆) enough. Yall make the OTF engine go. I've continued to learn plenty from the pros @Gerry Hamilton @Rod Babers @CJ Vogel @Jeff Howe @Hank South @Jordan Scruggs @Bob Shipley @Blake Munroe @Matthew Hutcheson, am thankful and glad I get to continue to work alongside each of you. There's not a better group in the business. Made it to my sophomore year! Let's go! (just not sure if I can handle any more Watch With Us livestreams tho 🤣)

Nah I survived yet again. And thank you for the kind words. I definitely try my best to keep up with the real professionals at OTF. 😆 Yall are crazy. I gave Stevie the rundown after and he and I had a good laugh. Ricky Brown even joined us this morning. Turning into a little boxing club of old Longhorn lettermen. 😀

I riled some Tech fans up the other day (apparently) on X. None of them will explain to me the benefit for Texas to schedule this game. Its like they all got the same newsletter saying "schedule us now that the playing field is leveled." My response continues to be it's not as level as they think. IMO, the talent gap is still wide. They are beyond disingenuous. They keep acting like this is a Tech vs. Texas St/UTEP convo when they know it's Ohio St/Mich/ND, etc. that we're scheduling. Anything to deflect from the Sorsby debacle. Its nasty work. They want us to be their rival sooooooo bad. Its weird.
