  1. Never gonna happen. Texas will not hire a head coach who currently has a show cause enforcement against him until June 2025. Even if it was over this past December (it wasn't/isn't), they wouldn't hire him.
  2. Only reason I'm still there is the free Paramount+ sub.
  3. Mickens would probably know Tashard Choice from their brief overlap at the Dallas Cowboys. Choice was in Dallas from 2008-2011. Mickens was drafted by the Cowboys in 2009 and was on the practice squad for the first 2+ months of the season before being picked up by Tampa Bay. Just another potential data point.
  4. He set a rookie record for receiving yards (158) in a Super Bowl, beating the previous record by 49 yards. It's also been said he's also the first rookie ever to catch two TD passes in a Super Bowl. So more than just Longhorn history was made.
  5. I understand the concern about Vasek's injury history. I hope he can stay healthy. I was told his surgery was just to clean up the area and remove some loose junk and that he would be available for spring workouts. But I am not certain of the veracity of the info or the source. Hope it's accurate.
  6. Who is Sam Ehrlinger? Is he related to former Texas QB Sam Ehlinger?
  7. Couldn't care less. It's the POS NBA.
  8. Welcome Jeff! Happy you're here. I go back to those early days, when it was still "Hook'em/247". I'm still there, but it's my third most viewed of the Longhorn sites tbh, the free Paramount+ Showtime sub makes it palatable to keep the 247 sub. Look forward to seeing your contributions to OTF. 🤘
  9. Loved the athlete, competitor, and human that was James Street. But also loved the backfield of Street, Steve Worster, Ted Koy, and Jim Bertelsen. A few years later my favorite Longhorn to watch/look at was Farrah Fawcett.
  10. Perhaps, but TNT was only the broadcast medium. The broadcast was produced by ESPN with ESPN crews and is owned by ESPN.
  11. With the number of dudes in the portal, I would hope it has a whole bunch of vents.
  12. As a Quinn fan, no thanks lol. At least not until Jerrah's gone.
  13. Not arguing your premise at all, but if tOSU were to sh*tcan Day I don't believe that he could build a similar program elsewhere. Day benefitted from Urban being the sleeze that he is and left while the machine was humming. I really believe they win in spite of him. JMO
  14. Neither can you. What's your point?
  15. Whether Bedenbaugh stays or goes, being an OL in an Air Raid offense can't be better for NFL development than Sark's offense.
  16. If you're going to steal paywall content and paste it here, you can at least give Eric Nahlin and Inside Texas credit for it.
  17. Tell me you've never been to a Horns v aggie game in Collieville without telling me. Based upon your comment, I'm guessing you haven't ever been to this game. That game is always the most electric in that stadium for them. The ND game atmosphere and noise level wasn't even close to what this game will be.
  18. He was in Austin
  19. I hear we also put a man on the moon.
  20. Well, we have not been at full strength since the second day of fall practice (and down 2 after one week), so lamenting aggie RB injuries in week 11 seems pretty meh to me. But yeah, if we could magically have a 100% healthy RB room for all 11 weeks, I'd sign up for it.
  21. IDGAF about their RB issues. Texas has been playing the whole year without Baxter and Clark. Blue and Wisner have both been dinged for chunks of time this year as well. Ryan Niblett had to be moved to play some RB. Even our last minute SMU transfer has missed several games. I'd agree with you if there was some fairy dust available that could make Baxter and Clark available, but there isn't. Their recent injuries just serves to make the RB problems similar for both teams.
  22. The head football coach of a team where ESPN has decided to broadcast from on campus for two days agrees to get interviewed by ESPN while they're in town? I'm shocked! How could he do such a thing? 🙄 Who tf cares? This type of stuff happens every week. It's part of the job description.
  23. Both of them have already been guest pickers before. No repeats.
  24. This sums it up pretty well. The net of it is that Oregon was able to shave critical seconds off the clock with little risk. Those seconds came into play on the next play when Howard scrambled as time ran out.
