  1. I noticed that too. Most of my partners are OU grads - they are not as eager to go. If they would have showed better against Tennessee, this ticket would be impossible. I am not sure I want to spend more than $500 and have to sit next to OU fans. Probably save my funds for a hopeful playoff appearance.
  2. Over the last 10 years, the more experienced QB entering Red River has come out victorious 8 times. The two times they didn't; Rattler making his 4th start beat Sam E. making his 35th start (2010) and J. Heard making his 4th career start beat Baker Mayfield making his 5th career start (2015). This year, Quinn will be making his 23rd career start against Hawkins making his 2nd. 2023 - Gabriel (43rd career start) > Quinn (14th career start) 2022 - Quinn (2nd career start)> OU didn't start a real QB (Beville 1st career start) 2021 - Rattler (17th career start) > Williams replaced him > Casey Thompson (5th career start) 2020 - Rattler (4th career start) > Sam E. (35th career start) 2019 - J. Hurts (33rd career start)> Sam E. (25th career start) 2018 - Sam E (13th career start)> Kyler (9th career start) 2017 - B. Mayfield (31st career start) > Sam E. (4th career start) 2016 - B. Mayfield (17th career start) > S. Buechele (5th career start) 2015 - J. Heard (4th career start)> B. Mayfield (5th career start) - almost a push on experience but we'll count it 2014 - Knight (11th career start) > Swoopes (5th career start)

  3. I'm a corporate litigation attorney at a larger firm in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I have been embedding "OU Sucks" in to my conflict check emails that go out to the entire firm (Dallas, Fayetteville, OKC, and Tulsa offices). To be fair, there was a "Texas sucks" that started it. Don't let me down Sark!!!!

  4. That’s a quick turnaround for Herbie - flying out of Oregon at 11am after College Gameday and getting to Dallas (and to the Fair) by 2:30.
  5. What better weekend to have our players sitting back and watching all of these upsets? If they didn’t know already, they now do - anything can happen if you overlook anything.
  6. Smoking some nice brisket and spending a stress free weekend watching other teams’ nail biters. a&m and Mich games should be fun
  7. Now the Committee has a reason now to rank FSU since the starting QB is out....that team cannot catch a break.
  8. If he can learn to hold the edge better in the run (contain the outside run) he could be your starter soon. He should be in the game on every passing down though.
  9. Gerry has another week wearing shades in the morning.
  10. Who do we use to spy Hawkins? Hill?
  11. Gerry hopes so, so he can start coffee & football without his shades (until Texas beats GA)
  12. 48-10. (My back up score was 52-13, but no one took my first one) Hook’em
  13. Junior Miller on the Ticket Week 1 - reviewing OU’s game said “Jackson Arnold looked great.” Which had me scratching my head. This morning: “Jackson Arnold will be starting at La Tech next year”. OU fans just looked at the score and pumped up Arnold when he’s been shitty all year
  14. I feel bad that I jinxed the kid. He’s out for the year. Texas will play a backup next week
  15. Welp, Shapen going to the lockerroom.
  16. Haven’t read through the entire thread, but with the way Miss St runs Shapen he won’t survive the whole year, and it will be a good warmup for how often OU runs Arnold.
  17. Doh, didn’t read all the way down. I saw coach met with the guys from Occupy Left Field last week; is our NIL getting turned around and related to this flurry?
  18. Kicking off both halves under Charlie Stromg - we were a Mickey Mouse program.

  20. He has a kid at Ok St now. Klatt had to reschedule and will be on at 5:15 today.
  21. Hardline shoe around 5:15. I assume it will be Texas-centric given he called the game. Also, Bob Sturm wrote a great Substack the day after. Here’s a portion: (delete if not allowed) “…The way Texas walked in there, called their shot, challenged the champion in their own stadium, put their feet on the furniture…It was all so impressive. I think this is easily my biggest takeaway of the entire adventure. They knew all week that they were the better football team, but that sort of false bravado is dangerous in these situations….providing it was false. This was as true as it gets as the Longhorns have clearly leveled up to where they are capable and comfortable in these types of situations and that is something we have not seen in these parts for a very long time.”
