    Haven’t read through the entire thread, but with the way Miss St runs Shapen he won’t survive the whole year, and it will be a good warmup for how often OU runs Arnold.

    Hardline shoe around 5:15. I assume it will be Texas-centric given he called the game. Also, Bob Sturm wrote a great Substack the day after. Here’s a portion: (delete if not allowed) “…The way Texas walked in there, called their shot, challenged the champion in their own stadium, put their feet on the furniture…It was all so impressive. I think this is easily my biggest takeaway of the entire adventure. They knew all week that they were the better football team, but that sort of false bravado is dangerous in these situations….providing it was false. This was as true as it gets as the Longhorns have clearly leveled up to where they are capable and comfortable in these types of situations and that is something we have not seen in these parts for a very long time.”

    Living in Okla, that game dictates my work life for the next year…plus, I believe OU and Georgia are two of our toughest games left.

    He’s been horrible to start this season against subpar opponents. I’ve read he is waiting until his WRs are open before throwing opposed to just throwing them open. Poor decision making, etc. I think they will give him Tulane, but if they lose, everything is on the table in BV’s third year. the decision to move on from a Heisman candidate QB for Arnold was a piss poor decision.

    First offensive play call? I’d set up as a bubble screen, pump and see if the CB bites and hit Bond streaking. you risk pressure from the DL, but those CBs know Texas will run the quick-short game and you may get them to play too aggressive.

    Anything the Texas coaches can glean from Bond/Niblack from their game against Mich last season? I’d assume they know the scheme/players fairly well spending several weeks preparing for them.

    Has anyone on this site searched the portal to see if there is any RB that would interest Texas (that could get admitted as a graduate transfer?)

    Michigan. They will be talented, but they have some tough games against tOSU (who are playing for Day's job), Texas, Oregon (that could be 3 losses right there), rivalry game against State, and a toss up against USC.

    Sark and staff need to adapt to the new wave of NIL if they want to play with the big boys. Young guys want to get theirs. If it’s more than someone on the team, it’s going to happen.
