    Sark was a $8 million per year coach right after season (3 million raise) ended with poor coaching job for playoff game. Really didnt have team ready for Washington and ran with scripted plays instead of ramming them up throat. PK had horrible gameplan as well approved by Sark. However with Saban retiring and Bama putting out feelers for Sark we had no option but to give him $10 million plus.

    Barnes and Pettijohn inside. This kid and or Pearland Kid. Pearland kid may not stick as we get more guys. Thinking he is Hunter Moddon 25. Unless he skyrockets senior year.

    This would be bad for college football as the next step would be to cut three year obligation to only 1 like basketball. That would ruin college football as we know it just like it did college basketball years back.

    Are you moving Burke to Jack. Sorrell is there and Tapp behind him. Vasek behind Tapp. We are a little full on the edges. I actually wanted Sorrell to move on so Tapp could get his shot. Sorrell just doesn’t get enough sacks. I do appreciate him setting the edge. But we need more pressure. It’s the main reason Penix was so accurate. Had all day. Will be interesting to see what they do with Burke as Moore and sImmons need to play. Especially Moore.

    We essentially were telling him Brooks would start over him. I bet his cousin even said go to Oregon. You will get more playtime. Brooks is average at best. Won’t even make nfl as cb but staff trying to be loyal to aggy legacy family since they flipped to us. I guess I can understand that. But I’m sick of seeing number 9 burned so much.

    Really Hoping Gullette can take over a LB role as he took a step in bowl practices. He seems to be fully recovered from acl.

    Well we have log jam at both edge positions. Buck and Jack especially with Sorrel returning and UTSA stud Trey Moore coming in. I think Simmons needs to play the minimum 4 games and put on weight and preserve a year. 4 games and 80 snaps or so to get him used to big boy football and take the RS. Buck: 1,, Trey Moore 2. Burke 3. Simmons/Walton Jack: 1. Sorrell 2. Tapp. 3. Vasek

    What was the issue with not getting Caldwell when most had him pegged to us ? Oregon came in last minute with high NIL ? Also what happened with Dom. Obviously he followed Davis.

    Agree with this. Sark has missed on some hires but fortunately corrected within 1-2 years. The recruiting of DBs last two years by Gideon and Joseph has been very good. DB play has been average but that will hopefully improve. Some of it is Pk scheme and can’t be blamed on Gideon or Jospeh.

    Like the hire. Young guy something to prove will be by default a good recruiter. His personality seems like 16-20 yo guys will gravitate to him.

    JM shut down whoever he was on in the CFP. That includes bunch of NFL talent. Brookes did not.

    JM needs to have more confidence in himself. He can beat out Brookes pretty easily imo. I do think the coaches may give Brookes some extra shots though given they recruited and flipped him from Osu and he showed faith in Texas.

    He loves Texas but we need to pick up the love. Otherwise team like Oregon will come swoop him away. I would like to see him and Jonah recruited in the safety spots in 2025 since there aren’t many quality safeties in state or OOS considering us. We loaded up 2024 with very good safeties so don’t really need many if at all 2025. We need to get these two top athletes who will likely grow into big time LB for Jonah and big time wr or TE/h back for Terry. Kelshaun and the other athlete who profiles as TE are must gets as well. Blanking on his name.

    Really want Barnes and RP at LB. Also Jonah but we need to get him as safety. I’m sure he may grow into LB but he wants to play safety. Maybe big Nickel like we use Jelani McDonald this year.
