  1. Past hour
  2. Anyone believe the judge wasn't paid off as well?
  3. And they absolutely should. This solution was proffered by some folks when Alabama wanted to player their semi-pro player in basketball.
  4. I get where you’re coming from - the injunction does give Tech some breathing room. But even with an open‑ended order, these things don’t exist in a vacuum. When eligibility impacts multiple conferences and the competitive structure of a national sport, courts usually move faster than they would in a normal civil dispute. And the NCAA isn’t limited to waiting on the same timeline as a divorce case or a local property dispute. They can request an expedited hearing, and judges often grant those when the consequences reach beyond one county or one school. So while delay is possible, it’s not guaranteed, and it definitely doesn’t mean the NCAA is boxed in. There are still several paths for this to move quickly
  5. Also, only the top 10 teams in each sport get points. So, Men's hoops gets no credit for their sweet 16 run. Football, nadda for being ranked 13th etc. The weighting of certain sports and the complete drop off in credit after 10th place can really bias things.
  6. Unbelievable. He basically said I know it’s wrong but might as well take advantage of it while we can.
  7. All the handwringing aside, the only justice we’ll be seeing in the 2026 season is having other teams beat Tech on the field As for future justice, this feels like an extremely short-sighted move by Tech on many different levels (such as team dynamics, locker room culture, recruiting, future conference appeal) And my hot take is I would love to get matched up with Tech in the playoffs somehow. I trust our team and coaches to lay it on them hard
  8. The NCAA just needs to send a notice that any games scheduled against TTU are automatic forfeitures if Sorsby is listed on the TTU roster. End of TTU jerry rigged court problems.
  9. I don’t recall the new parameters. Top 4 conference champions advance? I’d think the committee could black ball them. Big 12 opponents could raise a stink too.
  10. I have a question. Why isn't Sorsby being pursued by federal prosecutors for betting on his team? I have to believe this is illegal at the minimum some form of fraud. Now that the evidence is out there and he has basically admitted it, why aren't they pursuing this?
  11. Great graphic producer Matthew
  12. If you can’t enforce rules, then there is no point in having rules. If a judge cannot see that, then he should no longer be a judge. This was a very simple decision.
  13. It's not quite the same though. A temporary restraining order used in a divorce proceedings has a 2 week maximum shelf life. It's used to keep things "civil" until a temporary hearing can be had to establish things like temporary child support, who lives in the house, etc. In this case, the temporary injunction is good until further notice. All Tech has to do now is delay, delay, delay. Even if the NCAA files for a stay on the injunctions, this would take months. I too thought there would be an expediated hearing on this matter but from I can tell, there's not.
  14. I now find it ironic that little Joey mentioned last week in SA they should know something by Monday, hmmmm
  15. No, it means effectively he has won.
  16. Oh ok i feel better now since he is going to do all this. 🤣
  17. Every Power 4 non-conference opponent should immediately drop Tech from their non-con schedules ... oh wait
  18. So Judge Ken Curry basically said Sorsby can’t do game‑day activities for the first two games, which is adorable, because that’s the exact same punishment Tech gives their quarterbacks when they’re healthy
  19. I hope when the SEC and Big Ten leave the NCAA they leave Tech to rot
  20. Anyone else think this might sway some recruits and their family away from tech after this ruling and especially all the tech coaches and higher officials statements following it
  21. So basically you can get away with anything in the NCAA, why not tamper and steal Guyton from them?
  22. I mean, who's a better team, this year's Tech or last years ND (or Texas fwiw)
  23. Funny thing is, the CFP committee doesn't have to rank Tech in top 11, right?
  24. Would guess Cody is a big donor of Abbott
