2nd Watch (Backfield) - Note from lifelong OSU friend.
Caver60 replied to TheSingletron's topic in On Texas Football Forum
When they came out pregame wearing shorts and t-shirts I thought 1) that might be pretty smart -OR- 2) they are overthinking the game conditions if they are worried about sweating during warmups and how that might help them later in the game. And they might be planting the seed in some players heads that the heat actually matters. Turns out 2) was probably more relevant. -
Man you gotta love Marcus ! 🤘🏻🫡

2026 Women’s Indoor Volleyball Thread
ChanmanV replied to LonghornFan4Ever's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Good win! The blocking and defense was MUCH better today. Andersen, Bunton, and Harvey were stuffing people today. I felt like Binney was in one less block rotation too but could be wrong. The hitting was not the greatest but good enough. -

That Wingo non-catch was brutal. Arch could not have walked over and handed him that ball any better. -

Unfortunately Ryan Wingo is never going to be a reliable target as he's not a natural receiver so that is what it is. Id like to see Jermaine Bishop get more and more run with Wingos role reduced a bit. That kid needs game opportunity to prove himself. Cam redeemed himself as the game wore on but you can't flub a beautiful deep ball in a big game like that again. -

@CJ Vogel do you think Arch's throwing velocity has anything to with this statistic? Anecdotally to me it does not, -
One thing that I think is underrated by SEC shorts is how they are consistent with who plays the character for each school. From my memory, seems it's always the same person who plays the specific school in each video.

Don't get why drops have become such a big problem since last year. Is Chris Jackson not emphasizing it properly? Even the easiest catches are going through their hands. -

Has there ever been a team to file for a TRO to keep an opponent’s QB in college for another year? Asking for a friend. -

Parker Livingstone monster game vs Mich.

Some guys look like they are really talented in their uniforms, Parker looks so out of place in a OU uniform and seems to play like it as well. -

Second lowest completion percentage in the conference with 0 drops. Crazy inaccurate. -

Mateer has 0% drops because he can't even get the ball near his guys' hands. -
Right? Because the fluke interception off Cam Coleman was something they caused . . . or Ryan Wingo's dropped TD. Credit for the fumble on the 1st play, but Texas was shooting themselves in the foot a bunch of times.
-
I understand the question (and even asked that night at the game whether they would). And Day said in his postgame that they talked about it. But given our history and the fact that one of the plays was actually ruled a fumble, I actually think they made the right call.

We need to get Devin Duvernay to come provide lessons in how he practically never dropped a pass thrown his way. -
That exposed a flaw in their team, they don't trust the O-line to open holes and felt that the Sayin-Smith connection was higher percentage (understandably as they are great players).
