1 game won't determine that, or would it?

I don't know what to tell you. It has been mentioned ad nauseum on OTF on the Manning Family wanting Arch to be developed. The Manning Family wants Arch to prepare for The NFL. Pocket Passer. Play Action. Make NFL type throws. The Manning Family doesn't want to see Arch take hits. This is well documented as Arch himself has addressed it. I would submit, that if the Best thing for this Team would be for a QB to play any different than that then that is "influence". For example, if the Best thing for this Team is Arch to play a style like Tim Tebow, then that would be a problem. eve if it is The Best thing for The Team. Likewise, if this Team needed a true dual threat QB like play and that style was given to Arch, then that would be a problem. As subtle as "influence" can be, it is certainly possible. Again, I'm not saying that has taking place. I will also add that it works the other way: Do you realize how many Coaches make promises to Families in order to secure their Commitment from High School? promises that don't come true. Is that not "influence". All good. Hook'em!!!

Sark’s QB rep built on Carroll and Saban’s rosters?
dentonhorn replied to Steamboat Willie's topic in On Texas Football Forum
I do think his reputation is largely built on someone providing him with overwhelming talent that makes up for other shortcomings. Way way overblown his X and O abilities. Wish we had one of those OCs that can make great offense out of average talent just by system and play calling within it. -

How would he be influenced? And I don’t think families of players have much influence. I’m sure coaches do their best to be nice and patient, but I doubt some dad is influencing any coach of substance.
-
I don't think he is intimidated at all; so, no to your question. But, he could be influenced - could be, not saying he is like I mentioned above - and if so, he would not be the first Coach that would be "influenced" by a Players' Family and he won't be the last. Lets see what happens this week and throughout the 4 QTRs of the game on Saturday. Fair enough?

It has to be Chip Kelly or an up and comer in the NFL ranks like Joe Brady was for LSU in 2019.

Sark insists on calling plays to avoid being the Head Coach
NBHorn64 replied to BillP880's topic in On Texas Football Forum
When Sark was calling plays for Alabama when they won the Natty, was he in the press box or the sideline. I think him being on the sideline may hamper him some than being up high and seeing the whole picture. Just a thought. -
Do you think Sark is intimidated by the “Manning Family”?

That's a fair take. His decisions related to game management haven't been good this season, especially in the two losses. -

For better or worse I will be there. Fall back night too. Here's hoping we'll close in on win 2 of a new streak taking us deep into the playoffs. -
Nothing about it is incomplete, these are in fact the offensive drives after the first quarter. First quarter was solid, still have to play 45 minutes of game time after that. Your offense was only able to stay on the field for 12 of those 45 minutes against the second (maybe third if they are better than UTSA) worst defense you will play against all season (even worse than Arkansas' going in). Not getting a 3 and out doesn't mean you helped your defense. Like going for it on 4th down at midfield at the end of the half when Florida was also gonna receive the ball to start the 3rd. Tackling was bad all day, it has generally not been good most of the season. There is no defense that can play 33 minutes on the field in the last 45 minutes of the game and be successful. Part of it was on them, especially the first drive of the second half. That largely happened because the offense and play caller gave Florida momentum at the end of the half by gifting Florida a short field. The original drive chart presents facts, not opinion or analysis.

Sitting at the tailgate with a cold one, hanging with friends and watching all the early games all day is the best. Nothing I would rather be doing..... -

Waiting all day just to watch an inept, putrid offense again will be fun.
