  3. Am I the only one not panicking at all after last night? Of course it was an awful showing of the number one team’s offense in America, but it was bound to happen. Bad games are apart of Football and bad days and weeks are apart of human nature. This game wasn’t as bad as i honestly thought it was going to be following what happened this week leading to it. Sure Arch didn’t play to his standards and obviously he knows it, but neither did his pass catchers or his linemen. Did UTSA blitz almost every play? Just about. Did that mess up timing and gave less time for our receivers to get space? Yes of course. Should Texas had made adjustments to combat those problems? Of course but they didn’t till the fourth quarter. Long story short is that Texas faced adversity all week and it showed up Saturday night in a way that’s not pleasant to the fan base. But IMO you have to give this team grace for what they’ve accomplished already in this young season. Sure they haven’t had as many flashy explosive plays as they probably should have right now, but they’ve managed to knock off probably the second best team in the nation regardless of ranking. They don’t have the luxury of having those explosive plays and ran up scores for that reason. Thus making me not panic. I don’t care about explosive plays. I care about wins, and that’s what they’ve done so far, and against a team that would almost certainly beat anyone else in the top 10. So, don’t panic yet. Arch is a human being. Not a perfect machine. The offense will be fine. The defense will continue to dominate. All you can do it learn from this week and move on to Tennessee.
  4. So gameday is only visiting SEC schools this year. Awesome.
  5. The morning after the UTSA game, Arch Manning was visiting patients at Texas Children's Hospital in Austin:
  6. I feel like -5.5 after struggling like that on offense along with the O/U being 57.5 would make a lot of people pick Tennesee and the under. Yeah Vegas is gonna make a lot of people overthink this week. I think Florida and Baugh are for real but I think Ole miss wins. I think OU and A&M are bad. A&M seems bad even on defense. And I think USC beats Oregon.
  7. There were no Texas products on the field in Thursday's Bills-Lions game, so Week 2 for the Longhorns in the NFL starts today. *** Longhorns in the NFL: 53 Longhorns on the 53: 42 Practice Squad: 6 Injured Reserve: 5 *** Arizona Cardinals (3): Hayden Conner, Devin Duvernay, D’Shawn Jamison* Atlanta Falcons (2): Bijan Robinson, Cameron Williams Baltimore Ravens (1): Ethan Burke Carolina Panthers (2): Jonathan Brooks, Ja’Tavion Sanders Chicago Bears (3): Roschon Johnson, Christian Jones*, Malik Muhammad Cincinnati Bengals (1): Jack Endries Cleveland Browns (1): Isaiah Bond Dallas Cowboys (2): PJ Locke III, Demarvion Overshown Denver Broncos (5): Jahdae Barron, Sam Ehlinger, Lil’Jordan Humphrey, Brandon Jones, Malcolm Roach Green Bay Packers (2): Matthew Golden, Barryn Sorrell Jacksonville Jaguars (1): Quinn Ewers Kansas City Chiefs (1): Xavier Worthy Los Angeles Chargers (1): Cameron Dicker Los Angeles Rams (5): Jack Bouwmeester*, Matthew Caldwell#, Poona Ford, Bill Norton*, Jordan Whittington Miami Dolphins (3): DJ Campbell, Trey Moore#, Michael Taaffe New England Patriots (1): Brenden Schooler New Orleans Saints (3): Kelvin Banks Jr., Vernon Broughton, Jaylan Ford# New York Jets (4): Andrew Beck, Adonai Mitchell, Joseph Ossai, T’Vondre Sweat Philadelphia Eagles (4): Jaydon Blue*, Jake Majors*, Andrew Mukuba, Moro Ojomo Pittsburgh Steelers (1): DeShon Elliott# San Francisco 49ers (1): Alfred Collins# Seattle Seahawks (2): Michael Dickson, Byron Murphy II Tennessee Titans (2): Gunnar Helm, Anthony Hill Jr. Washington Commanders (2): Samuel Cosmi, Charles Omenihu * — Practice Squad # — Injured Reserve
  8. Sure but I think I keep Arch and Sark at a higher level of standard than some other guys. Both have all the tools to be exceptional so a showing like that on offense is just not acceptable. For Arch you can't throw those two TD passes like that and at the same time miss wide open guys by thowing it 5 yards over their head. It's just head scratching. I know he's never gonna be the Mensah type of QB but the misses yesterday where uncharateristic even for Arch. It wasn't even about mechanics cause the ball was coming good off his hands it was just inaccurate. Maybe all the off field stuff had a bigger impact on Arch that we previously thought... we'll see.
  9. There were alot of “bad” week 2 performances outside of Texas
  10. It's exactly why I feel bad about it. It's a must win game cause if we can't win on the road and if we can't win against decent offenses we're screwed with this schedule. I also expected the offense to name their score against UTSA but Arch was just inaccurate in a concerning and unusual way and Sark's play calling was dubious at best. I hope all the things that went on this week and the win against OSU were the reason Arch seemed off the whole game and not really focused and that we play a complete or semi-complete game against the vols. But I don't have a good feeling as of now and the lines for vegas just seemed very strange cause the other day we were at -4.5 so how the hell did it go up to -5.5 after *that* performance offensively
  11. That didn't help. The way the game was called contributed to it being unwatchable at times.
  12. Texas is going to have to win with the run game on Saturday. Arch is really struggling.
  13. It's frustrating because they did that against Ohio State. Running more than half of your plays in the opponent's territory should've resulted in more than 30 points.
  14. Yeah, but Vegas casinos are so nice for a reason. They know things we don't. This offseason, I said Texas must get out of September 4-0 for me to feel good about them making the CFP. After watching the teams on Texas' SEC schedule, I think I underestimated how good Florida, the Mississippi schools and Missouri were going to be. If the offense is catered towards its strengths (Manning's scrambling ability and the running game) they can win all these games. If not, they will lose 3-4 games even if they beat Tennessee. Must win game in Knoxville.
  15. Hopefully they don’t wear those orange socks again with the road whites 👀. That was a bad look last night 🤦🏼‍♂️
  16. Texas will have faced an undefeated team for four consecutive regular season game weeks
  17. I'd love nothing more than to roast Marcel Reed... But Arch has his own issues right now that pretty much everyone thought we had moved passed. The fact is Reed, Mateer & Arch aren't close to being in the top tier of SEC QB's
  18. There's something to that, I think. Coach Shipley mentioned that in our "Burning Questions" video, which will be out later today. He felt that was the turning point for Arch.
  19. I’ve had plenty of family members live in a double-wide in rural Louisiana. Typical 6th-grade bully crap. They can go f* themselves.
  20. Don't have a good feeling about this game guys! Hope I'm wrong! I feel like a lot of the misses from Arch are mental and that's hard to get over in just a week's time. Sark needs to call a better game too and the OL needs to play a bit better. Also the O/U is really high and the line is -5.5 for Texas? Seems crazy to me after last night lol
