  3. I have become a big fan of Texas softball since Mike White became the head coach. I came across a video interview with new assistant coach Rick Fremin on YouTube. Sorry, I don’t know how to link it here. The YouTube channel is called In the Circle with Coach Pat. Search for it and listen to the interview with Rick Fremin. He seems very impressive in how he coaches and recruits.

  5. They bought a bunch of smaller banks (Cadence) all over Central Texas.
  6. Yessir, I like this exercise!! I think we go 8-1 in conference. I think Arkansas gets a couple of wins this year in conference.
  7. I see ya what you are saying, but time will tell.
  8. I hope so; I don't believe our Defense was lacking in turnovers however..(We led the SEC in defensive turnovers) All I am bringing up is the fact Defense was not the reason the ultimate season goal fell short for at least the last 2 seasons. It was offense. I get the sunshine pump and the nostalgia, and even the mentality change that WM will bring, but I dont understand how majority of folks are more confident in him to produce a better defense when statistically and even visually Texas's defense for the past 2-3 seasons was the best its been in 10+ years! To those who say "well the offense will be better because Sark wont be involved or as involved in the defense." That's fine and well it should because we got better players around Arch, but if OH St puts up 35 on us, does he get involved with the Defense then?
  9. The tradeoff is more turnovers and by default more offensive possession.
  10. What about @Gerry Hamilton’s favorite, Mr Right Hash?
  11. Expect more explosive TD's from opposing teams I would imagine.
  12. In addition to the other issues mentioned, I personally like Muschamp's attacking style over PK's bend don't break (which admittedly was probably best bend don't break defense I've ever seen in Austin). I loved all of the goal line stands in the PK era. But I would have preferred more 3 and outs!
  13. The Vanderbilt game reached a boiling point IMO. The front and the secondary just wasn't playing together and there was some chaos on the sidelines.
  14. Just to be clear, SEC records only, so you think Texas goes 9-0 or 8-1 in conference. If that is true we don't have to sweat out the OH ST game so much!
  15. Go back and watch the Vanderbilt game and you'll understand. That game exemplified PK's ongoing limitations as a DC during his time leading the defense.
  16. Sumrall’s a junkyard dawg? Cool. Bring him to DKR and let’s see how loud he barks when Sark has him chasing motion all night.
  17. Sumrall is an absolute junkyard dawg, it’s a shame he went to Florida they don’t deserve him
  18. They've discussed this on several shows. Sark had to be too involved with the defense at times last year. PK doesn't coach secondary so there was a lot of disjointed defense when it came to the front and backside. Sark wants to be more aggressive and play more bump and run man coverage. PK can do it, but he doesn't specialize in it and Sark wants someone that is aggressive by nature. Pk also didn't really recruit, you can see the difference already this year with having a DC that is engaged with the recruits and has the skins on the wall that Muschamp has. Muschamp was also choice #1 when sark first got here, but Muschamp wasn't ready to leave because he had kids graduating and going to college. That's why he took a couple of years at Georgia as a consultant and not a coach, so he could have the freedom to go to Vandy and support his son playing.
  19. In short, it was defense by committee and Sark had to stay involved. With Boom, he can just delegate defense to him as dpty HC, and Sark can focus on adjustments between possessions on offense. So I think the proof is in the pudding if 1) defense still holds opponents to 20 pts while 2) we are more efficient on offense
  20. Why do you think Sark made a change at DC? Maybe Sark gave a specific answer and I just missed it If it was just frustration and just a feeling that he could do better than the bend be and not break defense of Coach K, after watching the replays of last season, especially the last quarter of the Vanderbilt game, I can see why. However, there is an argument his inconsistent offense was a lot of the problem with these right games and the 3 losses. Why do you think he ignored that side of the ball except for the turnover of personnel?
  21. I think Arkansas will be better this year, I also think we will be better too. TN, Mizzou, and KY I think will be worse.
  22. Loved Boyd and Robinson. Was too young for Johnny Walker. Think VB should be in there too. A solid group for sure.
