CBS gave a valid singular reason to exclude us from their top tier, our tough schedule. Non-conference #2 seed Ohio St loss was part of a 3 loss season. Had we lost 2 games instead of 3, Texas would have been a lock for the CFP. I again see highly ranked Ohio St on our schedule plus 9 SEC games. In 2026, Texas is playing 4 teams that made the 2025 CFP (seeds 2, 6, 7, 8). In addition to 4 CFP teams, Texas plays an a pesky MSST that took us to overtime, Florida that beat us, at MO, at TN and at LSU. I personally believe a 9-3 record against our really tough schedule could very well mean we are CFP worthy. But I don't want to be on the bubble needing a CFP vote. Texas must set the CFP bar at 10-2 or better and you are in. Anything worse could prevent a CFP appearance.

Arkansas has the #1 high school recruiting class for the 2026 cycle. Texas has the #1 overall class (high school recruits + international recruits + transfer portal) in the 2026 cycle. So not the gotcha they thought it was. But this shows the Arkansas-Texas rivalry is as strong as ever, at least on the hardwood. This must be what the Nolan Richardson-Tom Penders era felt like. -

Had a chance to spend a few days in Mexico this past weekend with some friends from the area. Had to take a pic with the Texas flag outside of a bar in Puerto Aventuras. Awesome area if y'all have never been. My first time in the Cancun area. Can't wait to go back! Pardon the sweat stains.

Agree. Not everyone is in his position.

Not taking anything away from Arch but he is fortunate to be in a position where it is much easier to walk away from money. He has never spent a day wondering where his next meal will come from .

Could be. I would have thought injuries would be covered by the university. He imo has lost quite a bit of time. Idk i assume he’ll miss the fall and maybe some of the spring. Hopefully he can get healthy. I like his swing and opposite field power -

Little Speed Note - Kohen Brown
Bobby Burton replied to Bobby Burton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Based strictly on what I've seen, I am not worried about his speed, physicality or route running. His ability to make the easy and difficult catches must improve for him to become a big-time player. -
Little Speed Note - Kohen Brown

Reel Analytics has well-known issues because it utilizes film technology that is inconsistent based on viewing aspects, tilt of the camera angle, etc. The best are the actual measuring devices that individual teams use, which is where Brown got his.
