That’s actually a really interesting wrinkle - Scholer being nominated by Obama first and then renominated by Trump tells you she’s viewed as a straight‑shooter by both sides. Add in the Rice undergrad + Cornell Law pedigree and the fact she was a well‑respected litigator before taking the bench, and you’re right: this isn’t going to be some circus where one side games the process. And the Big 12 bringing in a BYU‑trained attorney who already handled the House settlement shows they’re not sending in the JV team either. Both sides are lawyered‑up with people who know the landscape and won’t get cute.
