He is seeing the field much better than I thought. Sark put Arch in some terrible spots. The long developing routes were boneheaded on his part. Arch did miss a wide-open slant to Mosely, but other than that, he was muuuuch better than I thought. Sark simply was out-coached.

I liked the technical difficulties at the end.

You seem to be responding to a PFN post and referencing PFF. PFF posts pass blocking grades for all the offense, similar for pass rush, and not unit grades. Both QBs were pressured 46% of dropbacks. Brandon took about 1 second longer on average to throw on those pressures. Brandon graded poorly. That’s not a blocking issue when he breaks the pocket to the outside and runs right into Simmons. PFF had Texas with a better pass blocking grade as a team than Tennessee and consequently a better pass rush grade. I tried to search PFNs site but didn’t have much luck finding more breakdowns. I’m much more familiar with PFF.

It’s odd that such a nit-picky, flag-happy ref crew was not on top of this.

hes clearly seeing the field well and had some great throws. problem is blitz pickup and being able to adjust protection/get to a hot route. fix that and well be humming.

I think it is hard to understand the talk that goes on in the trenches. Sometimes the raw emotion takes over and unfortunately it did as the young man’s blood got up. Did Simmons commit a crime, get arrested, assault a female? No. Did he embarrass himself and the team yes, but he deserves a pass for all the other good he does.

It seemed like Sark was all over this headed into the timeout.

The Texas defensive front absolutely whooped Tennessee. Dominated in every aspect of the football game and that's why four of the five mentioned above are on the DL/EDGE

the 20 pts lead was the result of mainly 2 specific turn-overs. Don't make it into something it is not. Without those freak turnovers we would not be talking about the 4th Qtr. One of the best running teams in the SEC was shut down by another SEC team. Our offense played one of the best SEC defenses and we won. We scored more points that they did. Do fans wish it was sexier? Of course, but we controlled the game. PERIOD. I agree, with everyone saying we must counter what Defense are seeing what is effective against Arch, but the reality is not many defenses out there except Georgia and maybe OU that can do that. OU has a worse offense than we do, and we won't meet Georgia until the championship game and possibly the CFP. Florida has a high powered offense but they have played us. Their defense is not that great.

Actually, Baker struggled and it made it look like Robertson was worse than he was. Five OL is always going to struggle with a 6-7 man rush. Sark needs to make some adjustments and also help Arch audible out to a check down for the overload blitz. Arch has never been good with the check down.
