Victor Wembanyama is a total freak thread
Hookem72 replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Castle and Fox had great games while Wemby “struggled” offensively. Timberwolves had no answer for stopping them. The first half lead crushed Minnesota’s spirit as did their foul trouble. Ant was pretty effective but he didn’t get any help. Will be a great western conference finals with Chet and SGA vs Castle and Wemby. -
Texas Baseball clinches double bye in SEC Tournament

Not playing to win is playing with fire. You don't want to extend your Regional starting pitchers, but you need to compete to win within reason. -

Basketball is ultimately a team sport. That Wemby is supported by a superb three guard unit and multiple wings who can shoot the three and defend and a sub center who is more than merely serviceable allows him to optimize his amazing ability. They are unselfish and all pass the ball to the open shooter. It's good team basketball played by great players. OKC matches up well with the Spurs, of course - and vice versa. No other team matches up well with either, although Brunson is a little devil of a ball player and floor general. I worry that the opponents all playing like the Bad Boy Pistons against Wemby will actually get him hurt. His one weakness is that unlike Wilt or Shaq he isn't physically bullet proof. -

I’m with you, take the approach that we’re going to go get our guys some good work against really quality opponents. Focus more on execution than outcome and let the chips fall where they may without over extending pitching or depth. - Today

If Texas wins today, how hard do they play in the SEC Tourny. Do they stay with their starters, but pull them after 50 pitches with a regional around the corner? Yes they are playing for a trophy, but I’d prefer they rest up for the big trophy run. -
How are these different from the ones where you sit on tour OTF flights? Just curious...

Surely one of those household name big companies could send a Gulfstream whenever Arch wants to fly somewhere, right?! I'm surprised it's not in at least one of his NIL deals. Arch...a young man of the people. Hook 'Em!

When I was a student at UT '72-'78, the Broken Spoke was out in the country. Same for the Salt Lick. I was in Austin a couple of years ago and I noticed the Broken Spoke as I drove south, and my thought was that it couldn't be... because the Spoke isn't in town surrounded by apartments and businesses! Time flies... Nice video by 'Sconsin. I've been to Madison and it's a nice town and a beautiful campus. I'll take Austin 9 months out of the year and Madison in the summers. Hook 'Em! . -

Wemby vs SGA should be a fun matchup. I think Spurs vs. Thunder is the real NBA Finals much like Michigan vs Arizona was the real National Championship game. -
