  1. Past hour
  2. Kenny Vacarro brought violent intentions to the field. When you saw #4 out there someone head was going to be taken off. Miss that guy
  3. No person walks on water and it’d be great if those that didn’t appreciate her just stayed away. Are we so lost as a society that we can’t have a single positive or acknowledgment thread for a person that dedicated 40 years of their life to UT? It’s okay to have grace, every opinion doesn’t have to be shared, and we’re all a little better off heeding thumper’s mom.
  4. I had forgotten how dominant he could be. Actually the entire list is good. Kenny V. Met his Mom later in life. Fine lady, raised a warrior.
  5. Good comment, Bobby. By the board comments there are some that viewed her negatively, and others that thought well of her. I suspect that she's somewhere in-between, but was a loyal asset to Longhorn sports. I wish her all the best. HookEm.
  6. Today
  7. No official visits. Texas only has three OV’s at this point: Beckham Black - Sept 12 (he at Florida this weekend BTW) NaVorro Bowman Jr - Sept 19 Darius Wabbington - Nov 6-8 All 5-stars in the class
  8. Last season, Connelly’s top 5 “prediction” for the CFB Playoffs were: Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, and UGA. So, three of those 5 didn’t even make the Playoffs (ND, PSU, and Mich). To give Connelly some credit, he was one of the very few to correctly predict Clemson would NOT make the Playoffs last season (Joel Klatt predicted a Clemson vs Penn State national championship…LOL). For me, these silly simulations point out the relative weakness and imbalance between the depth of the SEC and the other conferences. For example, 3 Big Ten teams are all more likely to make the Playoffs than ANY SEC team (which has an auto bid…LOL). It reveals that for the top teams of the Big Ten, there is very little risk of losing conference games against many of the lesser Big Ten programs. By contrast, with the SEC adding a 9th conference game to each schedule, it’s much more likely SEC Playoff contenders will lose conference games and thus fail to make the Playoffs. Also, a school like Tech effectively gets an automatic bid to the Playoffs because there’s very little chance any other Big 12 school can beat them during conference play. The Big 12 is effectively a one-team conference for Playoff purposes. Thus, Tech is a Playoff shoo-in. It’s important to understand that for all the silliness of Connelly’s simulations, they are not measures of how good or bad a team will be. Instead, they take a proprietary quantitative-derived metric (S+P) of a team, and then run it against the all other teams on the schedule by the same metric, to get a likelihood of your season-end record. For this article, it then runs a million simulations of all college FBS football games / records to derive the likelihood of a school making the Playoffs.
  9. @Gerry Hamilton Any notable basketball recruits other than Beckham Black visiting for Ohio State?
  10. Roy was great one, but there were a few huge drops at the worst times and I think people remember those. I remember one dropped TD in a Holday Bowl that we lost by a small margin to Oregon or Wazzup. He's still a solid #4 pick.
  11. Adding 2028 LB Israel Samuel of Richardson Lake Highlands
  12. OU scored 35 pts Roy’s Jr year and 65 his Sr year. I’d say Roy and the offense in general wasn’t the key issue those years.
  13. This is actual BS. He never had under 50 yds in a single loss from his Sophomore through Senior year. He wasn’t a QB, obviously. Any WR can be neutralized. A very good RB can also be neutralized by stacking the box. Hell, a good QB can be neutralized by dropping 8 into coverage. When that happens, the offense shifts to take advantage of the vulnerabilities made by the defense keying on The Dude. Roy Williams stats vs OU So through Sr (all losses) So: 5 for 65 Jr: 2 for 68 (OU scored 35) Sr: 7 for 89 (OU scored 65) There was little Roy could have done to keep up with OU his Jr and Sr years.
  14. Reed is an underwhelming QB. With his frame and chicken legs, I will be surprised if he even makes it to our late season matchup. Now, I don't wish injury on him or any player, but he will be lucky if he is healthy for the second half of the season. 6'1", 185lbs? jeez.
  15. How many Aggy qbs are 0-3 vs Texas?
  16. I never knew whether it was coaching against ou or Roy, but yea, ou seemed to neutralize him. He wasn't horrible against ou by any means, but he was just a type of player that we needed to be used as a weapon and make ou stop him. I will still take him as the best #4 tied with Dawson who had a 20 year NFL career and was money at Texas.
  17. Everything is perverted
  18. I was afraid to vote 5 on any game because I don't want to be sued by Jayden Daniels
  19. This might be a hot take but I don’t think it is hands down Roy. He was great until he played a good team, then he couldn’t do anything.
  20. Keep talking Marcel. Keep talking.
  21. I know CB Will Lee mentioned at last year's media day was the thing he was looking forward to most was beating Texas and that obviously didn't happen.
