  1. Past hour
  2. Look at the screenshot bro
  3. The hell are you talking about
  4. Bobby didn’t you talk about familiarity yesterday morning? Welp, here is your Ace of Spades for Cam-Mania to go right back to sweet home Alabama with a familiar coach. Texas needs to pop that clutch into 5th gear with seeking another WR for Heisman Arch. They need to draw these kids into the portal like everyone else…7 more days to go.
  5. Didn’t watch much of him this year… is he that good?
  6. Today
  7. Come on dude. We're Texas. Of course we are a desirable place to come to. But money has changed the paradigm. We are adapting to it. I am not panicked like so many on here.
  8. If you blindly read this article about OSU losses and entrants to the portal, you would think it was Texas with the same amount of aspersions listed in the story. This is to show that, as the mods have been stating, it’s not just us and we’re actually still doing better than a lot of top flight teams with our retention and additions thus far so woosah!! Hook’em!

  9. The rumor is we got a big offer out for Patrick Kutas from Ole Miss
  10. It's a shocking change from the rest of college football history but IMO 5 star recruiting classes are now a liability. Without long term contracts it simply doesn't pay to be in the game of player development. If we spend our money retaining these young players that have proven nothing we will lose to the Indiana and Tech's of the world that are stacking proven 23 year old players in the portal. I think the sweet spot is getting some of the 2nd and 3rd year players that are ready to contribute but have a little growth ahead of them as well. E.g. Mosley, Watson, etc. Then we have some continuity without blowing money bench riding 18 year olds.
  11. How much were we offering Baugh? Let's give it to Bo...
  12. Good player. I’ll take Arch Manning though and it’s not close.
  13. It can’t happen every time can it?
  14. Rumor is he gave them an ultimatum to match a $1.3M offer he got… which is insane
  15. I say wait to see who enters to portal after the CFP. We can forget Indiana-most will be out of eligibility. Otherwise, let’s see what pans out…
  16. I haven't heard much scuttlebutt about him.
  17. If the Miami DBs didn’t drop those INTs and the Miami line didn’t have those drive killing motion penalties, the score would look a lot different.
  18. If Chambliss had 20 more seconds he wins that game. Dude is a gamer, Texas needs guys like him.
  19. I think it's very possible that we underestimated regional pull for the players or even missing the playoffs this year. Allieggro and Peak stayed generally in the same region. The rest of the players stayed with their said team. Money has played a bigger role in retention than it has in acquisition which is something to note as well.
  20. Michigan players are banned lmao
  21. It's not the WR that's concerning as much as not getting the elite OL or LB in the portal which are arguably our 2 biggest needs. Either we have been pretty unlucky with targets or there is something else going on we aren't talking about. I'm not quite sure yet.
  22. True but the cream of the crop will be gone in 2 weeks. We'll just be filling bodies after that.
  23. I dont think it is fair to say people who have doubts about the strategy this portal are doom and gloomers, specifically when it comes to oline. We can acknowledge that there is still time while recognizing that the mis-evals in the oline room and striking out on their top 2 targets (without a clear backup plan) is a big red flag. like you said time to fix, but we need 5 bodies. Need to close and nail the evals. The latter gives me more concern than the former.
  24. Me too is Worthy the last freshman skill player on offense that made an impact?
