Hypothetically speaking, IF Sark were to hire an actual play calling Offensive Coordinator who would you guys want/fit the scheme Sark wants to run?
-
@CJ Vogel asked about the defensive pressures and adjustments, hot reads, and whether Sark is seeing enough quicks and hots and adjustments from Arch. He then gives a little word salad, then says he thinks he -(Arch) does what he's asked to do on particular plays, and that the question is vague. No, that was a weak answer to a great question. So now we know he's not seeing the field; neither is he able to audible. Even worse, Sark is NOT getting Arch and the offense out of bad looks. Sark is saying it without saying it, and will die on this hill. I'm convinced that if we do not see changes on Saturday, we are cooked with Sark. I want to see him do well, but he's doubling down and not seeing that we have a major issue here.

Arch vs Colt vs Vince - through first 19 starts..
Alex Butler replied to Gaurav Bagga's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Thank you for this!! The top 10 record is CRAZY! The fact that he’s faced so many more top ten teams and still had the success he has is pretty remarkable! Let’s go get some this weekend!!! -
After Sark's Presser, Expect More of the Same

Expect the same from the offense and special teams moving forward. Short presser, no accountability. Refuses to improve or change. He obviously believes in what he is doing, despite the games showing it isn't working. -
Arch vs Colt vs Vince - through first 19 starts..
Ryan Clement replied to Gaurav Bagga's topic in On Texas Football Forum
I think something that is overlooked when comparing stats is the eye test. I remember watching colt and Vince and both of them passed the eye test more often then not. Arch looks lost at times or not seeing the whole field. He also holds onto the ball too long. Seems like he isnt comfortable playing what sark is calling right now. -
19 seconds left we let them complete 2 sideline passes to get in fg range. A lil blame goes there. Cowboyesque

Actually I change my answer to this

In my opinion a team that is preparing for a championship year must have a few plays in their bag that they have confidence in to gain 2 yards.

While the debate of what should have been done in this particular situation noone has mentioned that given the talent and expectations this offense has...should have never been this close to start with. For the multiple 3 and outs, turnovers, etc Texas gave this game to BlowU. They came in unprepared period. Probably the worst performance this season.
-
I mean, it's been multiple years of the offense being bad. It's not some complicated thing either, it's obvious what the issues are. Demanding improvement is required to win anything in this sport, refusing to do it means you will get passed, rapidly.

Pitchforks and torches are the norm for fanbases these days.

Not trying to make much money at all. We usually go lower on ticket sites and i love kids getting to go for their first time. I was blessed to get to go to every home as a kid and my own kids have gone plenty.
-
I think I’d rather have punted. Either way…our QB gave away the game. Pick Six and INT when we were driving for a FG. Just disappointed.
-
FIFY for accuracy.
-
That’s fair. I also don’t blame Sark for not trusting the punt team to execute.
-
Not at all, by getting in first he may get the best price. They may be a lot lower by game time.
-
Exactly! Texas was up 17-7. 17 to 7. Never would have thought we would have blown that lead. As so many have said, we gave them that game. I think that is what hurts the most. If it was a tight game the whole time like in 08, I could accept the loss. But knowing Texas was the better team and just messed around until they scored enough points to win is the worst.

Mike Elko vs TexAgs/fan base … is wild
Joe D Villasenor replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Well I hope CDC has learned that if you give out another contract extension before conference or national championship it usually doesn’t end well. -
Either a reverse toss sweep to Masunas for -5 yards or a TD pass for 35 yards. 80/20 who knows.
-
If he went for it there’s a pretty high chance he calls a play action roll out for Arch that takes 5 seconds to develop and turns into a sack. I’d also have to end up buying a new TV.

Not gonna get an argument from me on that. I thought play calling/sequencing was greedy all game. The only chance Oklahoma had was creating havoc and big plays on defense/special teams. To come out and throw it a ton just increases their chances to make those plays. Could've ran it every play, scored 10 points and won 10-3.
