  1. Past hour
  2. I still would argue Arch is very, very good throwing the deep pass.
  3. Sark made Mac Jones look like a hero, cmon now. Just because Arch isn’t working doesn’t mean Sark can’t plug QBs in this Scheme.
  4. I actually disagree about the OL being bad or the problem. I watched the all 22 (just Arch's plays) and he had time to throw and make reads on most of his drop backs. There are issues with communication and slide protections but overall they actually did a good job at the point of attack. Now the run game I'll have to see more of because I didn't see the all 22 of that. But when he has time to throw, he has nowhere to go, guys are still running their routes. When his protection breaks down, guys still have their backs to him or are covered. There's very rarely something for him to dump it to and when there is he doesn't see it for whatever reason. People want to blame Arch and the OL. But the problem is Sark, that's where it starts. He's the guy running the program, running the offense and coaching up these guys. He's the one in charge of Milwee, Flood, etc. It's easy to just blame Arch but when you don't plat to what your QB does well and instead having everyone running 20 yards downfield for a route, when you know teams are bringing pressure is weird. Now If I'm going to pick on an OL player, it's Robertson specifically. The C is the most important position on the OL. All the blitz pick ups, communication, etc. They start from there. Several times I see Arch walking up to the LOS to point things out and I didn't see Robertson do any of that. Sikorski tries to help him out a lot but he's also trying to make sure no one's in his lane. Not sure if there will be changes there or who you even put there. Do you move Sikorski to C or Christian to C? Because just from watching the play from that all 22 he seems like the biggest issue there. Especially for a 5th year guy, that is a bit concerning. Anyway, just my two cents for whatever it's worth. We'll see what he does this week against Florida but I'm not really excepting anything different.
  5. The rat poison was fully engulfed
  6. Arch looked pretty horrible out of 11 personnel on Saturday. He's even throwing to players in double coverage when there are guys breaking open all over the place. This is even without pressure. It's really hard to tell what he's even seeing out there. He's definitely not ready for the NFL, but I'm not sure you can bring him back either. Would be a massive PR hit if he leaves and has success elsewhere though.
  7. I don't disagree that Arch needs to be better, but saying he's the problem and not the receivers oversimplifies it. The question is why he's hesitating on throws and not pulling the trigger when guys are open. Is that poor decision-making, a lack of confidence, the offensive scheme, or coaching? It could be a combination of things. I'm not making excuses for Arch, but Sark is responsible for developing him and putting him in positions to succeed, too. Identifying Arch as the problem is one thing; figuring out why he's struggling and how to fix it is another.
  8. I think the question you're asking is a fair one. You're not saying the receivers are the problem or making excuses for Arch. You're wondering why he's playing so hesitantly and whether there are contributing factors beyond his individual performance. That's a legitimate question. At the same time, I think the biggest thing to figure out is whether he's failing to recognize opportunities, not trusting what he's seeing, or being put in situations where the reads aren't clear. Those are different problems with potentially different solutions.
  9. His legs for one. He also has a live arm and can make every throw in the book, albeit not consistently (yet), which forces teams to respect the deep ball especially with our WRs. I would like to see more play action that takes advantage of these two threats, as well as more designed keepers.
  10. He can run but all knowing Sark to that away.
  11. Good chance game day is there. Although they may do one of their random small schools locations that week…
  12. Less than 1% of P4 QBs would be successful in Sark’s offense. Arch is not unique in that regard. The sooner we all realize Sark is the problem on offense (and with the lack of discipline across the program), the sooner we can start holding him accountable.
  13. VY was also consistently failing the eye test.. people were crying for him to switch to play TE or WR. Arch is on a historically great trajectory - stats wise and quality of wins wise. We need to support and believe in him..!!
  14. Today
  15. *kick off. 'We will kick off' vs. 'Texas fielded the opening kickoff'.
  16. https://www.chron.com/sports/college/article/texas-am-essence-cody-pregnancy-return-22473839.php the sheep are getting the women’s basketball players pregnant now. They’ve got some splainin’ to do lol!!
  17. Hot take… Guard from Oregon state Right tackle from wake forest center from the bench for many years left tackle who isn’t physical right guard converted from tackle because he wasn’t physical think I figured out all our issues….
  18. Yesterday
  19. At the end of the day, wherever he is right now, I’m sure Billy Napier is good. I don’t know any better, but I’d probably changes places with him financially.
  20. I'm as frustrated or pissed I have been in a while. We lost to bad football team. Get it fixed. Beat Florida
  21. I think he's very smart And works very well out of 10 and 11 personnel. Tremendous athlete with a quick release and great arm. Makes some mistakes but I believe in the kid. I think Sarkisian needs to run better plays. Every player on the offense doesn't look comfortable right now. Always appreciate you and General Grants positive vibes. Let's get to the playoffs!
  22. His tape did don’t scream elite bend. Good looking frame though
  23. Texas is right there. Don't think he makes a decision in November 2. Yes he is. Too soon to know. Hasn't made a visit to this point 3. Way too early for me on that. If both are spring decisions, Texas would like that so the staff has a better feel for the current roster and who is likely to return
  24. Hero Ball
  25. Do we actually know what Arch strengths are?
  26. After watching 5 games it seems Sark’s pride is getting the way of reality. I love Arch but he doesn’t seem to be a good fit for his offense. I feel he is trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. This resembles the Vince Young situation back in the day. Mack had to adjust the offense to Vince’s strengths. When he did the offense blossomed and Vince became Vince. Sark needs to swallow his pride and adjust his offense to Arch’s strengths and quit trying to make Arch be someone he is not.
