I'm sure it sucks for those 7th graders now but there's a high chance he's barely a top 100 prospect by the time his Junior year rolls around. I still remember when Emoni Bates was going to challenge Victor Wembanyama for the #1 pick in the.b 2023 NBA draft. Wemby is a top 5 player and Bates is in the G League playing for the Texas Legends.

Thanks man, I shot @Jeff Howe a message. We are both old and I refuse to pay out the wazoo for a house in Austin. Just need a small yard, with a few small trees (I have about 20 mature oaks and hackberry and they are hades when they drop their leaves), and a pool for the grand kids.

Some of us are too old to do a mini Murph, others have never heard of what it is, and some of us are both.

I remember when Pepperdine came here for a regional. Texas could not hit an 80 mph curve ball for shizzle. Everyone in the stands was shouting "Wait!, wait!, wait!" to no avail. Arizona beat PU to go to the CWS and won it all that year. I remember seeing Swindell under the 3rd base beachers when Texas lost its 2nd game to Pepperdine. He really wanted to pitch that day but needed at least one more day of rest.
