  1. Past hour
  2. Watching more tape, arch’s mechanics looked very off all day. Even on easy throws it looked like he was having to use everything he had on every throw. Just conjecture, but it looked way off all day to me.
  3. That’s why I think the defense’s performance was good but not elite. Needed more splash plays. No sacks, no turnovers. A few too many penalties. Leaky coverage bailed out by drops.
  4. Can I just say, for all the hype about our pass rush and we didn't even get 1 sack?
  5. 1. Did his QB skills atrophy? 2. This is an inexcusable coaching performance when you had 7 months to prepare. 3. I don’t care that it’s only week one. There’s absolutely ZERO excuse for Arch to have lost simple fundamental aspects of his game that even 8th graders can do.
  6. Gotta see them @ Miami and @ LSU to make an accurate judgement of them.
  7. Is there any validity to Arch having a shoulder injury? @Gerry Hamilton
  8. Florida (I get they’re playing a bad team) looks scary talent wise
  9. If the comments aren’t questioning Arch their Questioning Sark . Relax , we are going to be fine . You’re just having a sugar spike from all the koolaid you’ve drank . Our next tough game will be Florida. If we lose then make your mean comments.
  10. Man he is already out of most kids price range. Have to get him in a pack.
  11. Glass half full is that outside of Arch the team looked really good given the competition level and road environment. Arch just has to get better over the next few weeks.
  12. Holding is the only option, IMO.
  13. I authored the fallout article: https://www.si.com/collectibles/what-happens-to-arch-manning-cards-after-huge-loss
  14. Arch felt the pressure of all the hype and playing in a hostile stadium against a great defense which likely contributed to him missing on several throws (37% of them) he normally makes in his sleep. He is human after all. The talent is there and I am confident he will adjust and do very well. Tough first game . Don’t forget, the last time we played in the shoe it was with a seasoned Vince Young in a game we narrowly pulled out.
  15. Despite Arch's struggles, the penalties, and the receivers' issues, the offense played well enough to win this game. We lost because of one reason: Sark's playcalling in the red zone. The QB sneak on our first time there was a terrible call. When we ran it on the 4th play of the game, we barely made a foot. Give it to Baxter who can hit the line with a head of steam and we have a much better chance of scoring. The next time in the RZ, we had 3rd and 3 at the 8. We had been running the ball well on that drive. If we were going to go for it on 4th down, which we clearly were, we should have run it on 3rd down. If we don't make it but are close, we can either run or pass on 4th down. If we get stuffed on 3rd down, then we pass on 4th. Given how we had been moving the ball, I like our chances to make 3 yards on 2 runs.
  16. @Gerry Hamilton Do u think Sark needs to swallow the pill Ryan Day did and go find someone else to call the plays for him.
  17. As always, great write up Jeff. Hard to stomach the first paragraph, knowing the defense and running game did all it could to win.
  18. I second that. Not much changed from 20 years ago. Arrogant assholes and backward ass T-shirt fans talking s*#% during and after the game. Never coming back to this s*%% hole.
  19. The one thing I really didn't like about Arch today, was his pocket presents. He just kind of stayed in one place he didn't step up or step to the side to give him a better angle or that allowed him to step into the throws and he throw a lot with just his arm.
  20. It can be true that both the QB and the coordinator both did not have a good game.
  21. Speaking of Endries, what a bright spot he was. He looked like a bulldozer going downhill on the catch he took close (or into) the RZ going through multiple defenders.
  22. Maybe sark approaches the portal differently. Recievers couldn’t get separation and when they did arch missed and if he didn’t miss the ball was dropped. I thought wingo has sure fire hands ? That drop on the 3rd down was critical. Third year in a row with an elite defense and mediocre offense to go with it. At this point Texas ought to kick a field goal on first down as soon as they enter the red zone.
  23. Arch just needed to complete the easy passes, i would have liked to more wr screens. It’s like we played with a 1/4 of the playbook but i trust Sark on to next week
  24. Finebaum is looking for a boulder to hide under after the glazing he did of Manning.
  25. It was such a shocking and disappointing performance, and IMO it feels like he was just mentally overwhelmed throughout. Clearly he needs a lot more reps. After initially being pissed about our 3 non-conference home game schedule vs. scrubs coming up, it's probably just what the doctor ordered for Arch. I have no doubt he will learn a lot from this one and get better in a hurry.
  26. On the glass half full side, pressure should be off, no more target on their back, and they can play as the hungry ones as most likely Georgia will be the favorite to win the SEC next week
