  2. 2028 Five-Star DL Kellan Hall Reacts to Texas Camp + Offer *** One of the top players in the country for the 2028 class made his first visit to Austin on Sunday and left with an offer in hand, and some photos from a makeshift family reunion. The Longhorns hosted the No. 2 defensive lineman in the country on Sunday, Kellan Hall, out of Louisville, Kentucky. Hall attends the Christian Academy of Louisville and ended up performing well enough in the Horns big Elite Camp to walk away with an offer from the Texas staff. OTF caught up with Hall following his time on campus to get his immediate reactions, as well as to dig into what the recruiting pitch from his cousin and Texas 2027 commit Cam Hall was like. "He was blowing up my phone for a while, trying to get me to come down here," Kellan Hall said of Texas EDGE commit Cam Hall. "I said, I might as well. And then went to camp with them." Hall mentioned knowing a good bit about the Texas program prior to the trip with the Horns having appeared in two of the last three College Football Playoffs, and coming off of three consecutive ten win seasons. And of course, Colin Simmons. "Colin Simmons is one guy who sticks out to everybody. He is a dog and he is going to be a great first round pick in my opinion. He is NFL ready and he has all of the intangibles," Hall said. "And the school as well. It is historic and going back to the quarterback, Vince Young, and going back to those days and watching documentaries on them. It's just a historic program." Coming into the trip, Hall admitted he didn't know what to expect on The 40 Acres, but he came away really enjoying his time. "It held up to past expectations," Hall said. "Coaches have a lot of energy and get after it. They have fun but they compete at the highest level and there is no reason why they shouldn't be back in the College Football Playoffs every year." LaAllen Clark, Kenny Baker and defensive coordinator Will Muschamp were all able to spend time with Hall on the trip. One thing that Texas did pitch was the number of defensive linemen they have produced in the Sarkisian era. By the sounds of things, that definitely caught Hall's attention. For those wondering, Hall said Texas pitched him at both the interior and the edge. The Longhorns did extend an offer on the trip, and following his time on campus, Hall says Texas "is up there" in his recruitment. "Going into it I didn't really know. I didn't have an offer," Hall said. "I got a pretty good name out there and just come and compete against other people in Texas. Everybody says Texas is the best, so I had to come out and compete and show why I am the best." Hall will drop a top 10 or a top 12 on June 19th. He says the Longhorns will "be up there." In regards to a return trip, it is too early for specifics, but Hall did mention wanting to return to campus for a game to see DKR all packed out. Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Texas Tech are all receiving visits while he is in the Lone Star State. Then Hall will camp once more at Ohio State before the end of June. *** 2028 Five-Star DL Prince Che Recaps Texas Camp A second five-star 2028 defensive lineman was on campus this weekend as well. Thomas County Central (Ga.) DL Prince Che camped with the Longhorns on Sunday. He confirmed with OTF following the camp that he did compete on the field as well. That was an unknown as he was not found by our team following the visit. "The visit was great," Che told On Texas Football. "I enjoyed spending time with the staff, getting around the program, and learning more about what they’re building." At 6-feet-3-inches tall, and 305 pounds, Che is considered the No. 3 defensive lineman in the country and a top-20 player per the 247Sports Composite rankings. On the trip, Che was able to continue growing his relationship with Kenny Baker after the Longhorns' defensive line coach extended the offer back in February. Additionally, he was able to meet Steve Sarkisian as well. "Coach Sark and Coach Baker have been great to me throughout the process, and I’ve enjoyed continuing to build those relationships," Che said. "We’re staying in contact, and we’ll see what the schedule looks like moving forward regarding another visit." In the last 45 days, Che has earned offers from Alabama, Indiana, Kansas State, LSU, Oregon and USC. He also took an unofficial visit to Texas A&M, Georgia, Georgia Tech and South Carolina back in early April as well. No return date was finalized, but I would expect Texas to remain in this race. Strong start to get him on campus as quickly as they did.

  6. They better not blame it on Sims getting hurt after giving us grief for losing our Regional to UTSA last year after Spencer got hurt
  7. Why were the Atlanta Braves playing on ice cream field?
  8. Crazy that it ends after MLK day. 💯 agree they need to create the playoff schedule as an extension of the season and play weekly with a 1 week bye between semi and final. Expansion or not.
  9. The NCAA seems to lose any sense of logic and consideration of reality when setting any dates for scheduling. It’s either incompetence or they just enjoy punking all of us.
