I’d still like to see more turnovers and less penalties, but the defense definitely has not been the issue.

Don’t forget the 2 crap penalties called that negated a turnover and a 3rd down stop that would’ve forced a FG against OU.

I don’t blame the defense at all for what happened in Dallas. Our QB and ST gifted Oklahoma 14 of their 27 points and put them in a pickle for the final 3.

I don’t trust our offense or special teams unit to have confidence in us winning. When your Head Coach who was hired for his offensive acumen continues to field an OL that is soft on the interior and can’t run the football then we have problems. Arch hasn’t improved and despite heavily investing nil dollars in a bunch of WR’s and RB’s we can’t seem to get them the ball in creative ways where they can go make plays. No clue how the rest of the season plays out….OU punked us last week and Florida did it last year. We have a soft team on offense and it’s gotten worse year over year based on the numbers.

Along the lines of the point of the OP. I don't see a ton of options that have a track record of doing it. There are only 4 active head coaches with a NC and two of them are Dabo and Ryan Day (I wouldn't want either). The other 2 aren't leaving. I saw some posts about Traylor and GJ but they definitely haven't done it at the big time level and that would be quite a risk. Can always call Brian Kelly or Jimbo.

Who you going to hire? Not trying to be a smart a just wondering who people think would be better. It seems like it is harder to win at Texas than anyone else. I don’t really know why. I always said if we couldn’t get Saban we need to get one of his guys. We got one. I don’t know at all if he can take us to the promise land. In the NIL era, we’re the New York Yankees, the Los Angeles Dodgers. We’re better off than we were before he got here, but I want to get like Georgia is, like the Saban Alabama’s were. We seem a long way from that to me.
