  5. we are back at it for the 3rd week in a row for a full day of tailgating... Beer us @General Grant
  6. There were throws that he left out there that were very open and very safe to throw that he should have thrown... I think we're kind of saying the same thing but you're probably getting a worse connotation off of me saying he was "rattled" and "not seeing the field well"... If we're grading off of what average QBs would have done then yeah he was really good given the circumstances (I think an average QB in that situation would've completely crumbled and became erratic by either becoming wildly inaccurate or throwing a bunch of picks) but given that he's regarded (rightly so, because of his tools) as a top pick in the draft I think we can expect more from Arch cause he has all the tools and more to do so and can always get better... so my criticism isn't really about defining him as a player cause we all know what he can do, it's just about critcising his performance in this particular game. TDLR: There were throws that weren't risky that he should've made and I completely get him getting conservative and that affecting his decision making but we're talking about a guy who I think has the tools, weapons and play caller to not only get drafted #1 but also win the Heisman, so I'm judging and grading off of that. We all know what he can do in general but to unlock the next level he needs to do it every play every game and he can.
  7. I think my definition of rattled is different than yours. And I disagree that Arch wasn't seeing the field. I think Arch got overly cautious because of the early turnovers. Especially through the first half, I think he knew that one more turnover would likely effectively end the game, and he was content to live for another play. I think we can all agree that he was TOO cautious and should have made a lot of those throws. But I don't consider that rattled. In the second half, and particularly the 4th quarter, I think he saw the same things he had been seeing, but had no choice but to let it rip. Overall, I would grade him out somewhere between 7 and 8. Biggest trap game for me is probably Missouri, but most likely L is probably LSU. Biggest concern is turnovers.
  8. I was going to go 52-10, but it seems a couple others beat me to it, so I will say 52-7 Texas.
  9. Texas Longhorns Suspend Assistant Coach Johnny Nansen After DWI Arrest
  10. I watched and rewatched all the highlights from last week. I focused on the team at the end of the game. I watched a defense standing on the sideline the entire last drive. Those defensive leaders had to be moved out of the offensive huddle at the 2 minute time out and final time out taken. A defense in a program that has watched an offense fall short late in the game time and time again. Washington, Ohio state x2, Florida. They helped will their teammates with passion and more important confidence from the sidelines. I believe this team is different and I love it! 🤘
  11. I'm looking out for my own best interests. Plus he would've overthrown the life ring if i was floating in the ocean.
