  1. Past hour
  2. What’s the highest ranked kid to actually ever play for us? Dillon Gee? Can’t think of any top 50 ranked players otherwise. Until the rules change signing these top 50 guys seems to be an exercise in futility unless you are lsu
  3. Heck of a weekend for Schloss and Co.
  4. Not one of the commits is from Texas. How times have changed!!
  5. Yesterday
  6. That’s the thing with anxiety though. When your back is up against the wall, then your fight or flight nature kicks in. So when Arch is not afraid to fail and trying not to make mistakes, then he goes into fight mode and his natural talents show.
  7. Sam Cosmi just took a big shot under his chin. Hope he’s OK.
  8. 83 OTF fans filled out a board for week 3. Nine finished above .500. Here's how it went. @Budtexas wins it at 8-2 and Holds the Mayo going into Week 4. Nobody else finished within a game of them, and their board was one of a kind. No other board of the 83 had the same eleven picks. What they did that almost nobody else did was take six underdogs. The favorites got wrecked. Take the favorite in every game and you finish 2-8. Four boards did exactly that. Take the underdog in every game and you finish 8-2. The boards agreed with each other a lot. 83 boards produced 44 different slates. The most popular one, turned in by 15 people, went 4-6. Take the most popular pick in all eleven games and you also go 4-6. Where the boards were surest, the boards were most wrong: 96% took Tennessee to win by more than 34.5. They won by 33. 96% took Texas to win by more than 29.5. They won by 24. 92% took Oklahoma to win by more than 23.5. They won by 8. 84% took Missouri to win by more than 27.5. They won by 10. Three people took UTSA to stay within 29.5, and all three were right: @NCHorn, @Longhornfrenzy, and @TravelingHorn. Two of them finished 7-3, tied for second. Nobody could win Vanderbilt. They were favored by 4 and won by exactly 4. That game pushed for all 83 boards, no win and no loss, which is why the records read out of ten. The full spread: one board at 8-2, three at 7-3, five at 6-4, eighteen at 5-5, and 56 below .500. The Week 3 leaderboard is also now published at stance.fm/mayo if you want to check it out. Week 4 picks open at 7 AM Monday. Nine SEC games, same rules: every game against the spread, best record takes it, ties go to whoever finished first. Win it and you Hold the Mayo going into Week 5.

  9. aggies mocking others for lack of conference championships is peak tone deafness
  10. She visited this weekend, taking in the UTSA game. Expect her to jump in the rankings from the major services. She had one heck of a summer from what I hear.
  11. And a great Longhorn. I'll never forget the Cotton Bowl win over Alabama.
  12. Wish people that turn on their own team would eat crap and croak.
  13. Can't tell if our society is really so much worse now or we just know about the crazy more now
  14. It did my heart good to see Lawrence Sampleton inducted last night. Lawrence played for my father in Seguin but before that he was my mother’s favorite students in class. Whenever we went to Texas games, we always made sure to say “Hi” to Lawrence. great athlete, but a better man! 🤘🤘🤘
  15. Had to be a seriously blind Photographer to have taken those photos and like most of us we're covering our eyes to see the crap that was going on during the game..
  16. Crazy that the coaches are now out of jobs. Perhaps they can replace them with Mike Norvell and Tom Herman.
  17. Remember the trash talking from the yell leaders before Appalachian State beat them
  18. Arch didn't get rolling until the OU game last season. Is it lackluster that he's showing similar traits from last season? Yes. However, go back to last year against weaker opponents, and he is waaaay better this year than last. If he balls out against Tennessee, then he absolutely is making progress. If he struggles again, but get the win, I'll take it too. If he doesn't and we lose, all hell will break loose.
  19. Hard to get excited for these top commits when you know a majority of them will go in the MLB draft.
  20. Yeah the stat doesn’t tell the whole story. Most of those pre hit incompletions were far off. And there were at least 2 throwaways and a weird 3rd down spike in the post hit stats. Still was worse post hit but it was more likely a confidence issue than a bell rung issue imho.
  21. That's a very interesting stat there. Good catch @BigTex29
