Yes Kiper still has him at the end of the 1st round which is insane. Just think about how hard he would struggle in the NFL given the struggles here.
-
*Ahem* KJ Lacey
-
What gifts does he have? We have had strong arm quarterbacks before. We have had quarterbacks that can run. Arch is not accurate, he can’t see the field or handle a blitz. Quite certain the NFL is seeing that.

Start the Dia Bell or KJ Lacey era?

I'm not gonna act like a QB switch is the answer with Sark. We need new coaching on offense. But absolutely KJ deserves a chance. Put him out there and let's at least see what we have. -
Quinn with more athleticism is the perfect prototype for this offense. All we need is someone who keeps us on schedule and isn’t a statue like Quinn was.

I’ve been thinking about this and sadly true. Whoever the next coach is will likely bring their QB with them. I feel bad for KJ but at least the 5 for 5 rules gives him 3 more seasons elsewhere -

Finally something we can cheer for and a legitimate contender. This football and volleyball season have been killing me with the deficiencies. Basketball season (men and women) can't come fast enough. Can't wait to see the team on TV. -
Gerry if KJ gets an opportunity what should we expect ? He seems like a kid that will get the ball out quickly right ?

From the limited time I've seen Lacey play and what people say about him, he's accurate and he makes quick decisions (good or bad). That's already a big upgrade from Arch right now. On top of that, he's more adept at midrange and short throws vs the deep throw (opposite of Arch), which most of Sark's office lives in that space.

You’re right. My bad. To throw, not 1 pass beyond the line of scrimmage - illegal forward pass - but, to then throw 2 passes in the next game which is something that does not occur at the high school level let alone at college…as a 4th year player by the way. WOW. Throws into double coverage constantly - how many pics - but, misses the wide open receiver over and over. Throws 2 pics while having the lead (OU) and then fumbles in the pocket (UF) with 3 time outs and struggles game in and game out, but other than that you’re right. As to the back seats. Nah! I did it from the front row on the field and whose son did it from the front row there afterwards. I would encourage you to move up from the cheap seats and to focus. Focus is important and to focus on details Little Carmine. A Critical thinking skill set is vital is in this scenario and conversation; especially to success in the long run. HOOK’em!!!! Let’s raise the bar and go win a Nattie!

I’m with you there. How did arch go from last year to this year and just get absolutely worse as each game goes on. Mf Jeff Traylor for giving everyone the playbook to destroy Texas offense. Damn that man. He coached me and my son in high school. I love the man but damn him. I honestly believe he would kill it if you gave him Texas longhorns resources. He would not lose any top recruits in East Texas. The respect he has in Texas high school football is next level. Yeah yeah I know he is not the splash hire. But that man bleeds burnt orange and has since he was a kid.

What you know? Just curious… -
Where is our 5 star safety that was highly gifted player in two sports. Why do we get 5 star players that never see the field and other programs have here 5 star players balling out. Copper, Bishop, and both Terrys only see couple plays a game. This are the kids that can change the game. But sark is a practice guru, some kids ball out when the lights are on versus practice heroes. Bishop has done nothing but ball in his chances.

Hard to say for me yet...but 1. If Isaiah Johnson were to go down at lead guard. With Mikey Lewis out, that would create real issues. 2. I think opponents are going to pack the paint on Texas some this year because they draw so many paint fouls ... who does Sean Miller have on the court in those times? The best offensive team on the perimeter for that (Ogden and/or Sterling) is also the worst defensive team (Sterling) vs. the best defensive lineup (Evans or Freeman). I'm sure something else will pop up when watching them play -

This is what happens when you run your defense into the ground. Odds go up the more you play. Congrats Sark. Your offense somehow injured your best defender.
