  1. Past hour
  2. Why would Brown be considering OU? Playing time?
  3. Rumor has it he's taking a new role as Cody Campbell's personal bathroom attendant.
  4. More Xavier Worthy style WRs! (yes I know he’s insanely fast and rare)
  5. I guess some village was missing their idiot.
  6. Timing will be really interesting with this group
  7. My uneducated vote is to offer and recruit the 10.3 kid out of florida HARD. This offense is pretty devoid of legit speed and space guys at wide receiver. Way too many big possession receivers with just enough speed.
  8. We're roughly three weeks removed from Easton Royal flipping from Texas to Florida, and the Longhorns remain on the hunt for one more high school wideout -- if it's the right fit. The three names to know right now: Ja'Hyde Brown, 4-star WR, Louisville Christian Academy (Louisville, Ky.) -- Louisville commit Texas and Brown are in close communication. Oklahoma is also interested. If he flips to either the Longhorns or the Sooners, it will be for less money than the Cardinals are expected to pay. And at least in Texas' case, there's a steeper barrier to entry for early playing time. Ronnie Gomiller, 4-star WR, East St. Louis (East St. Louis, Ill.) -- Cincinnati commit Gomiller officially visited Texas last weekend for the Ole Miss game. He earned an offer from the UT staff earlier this fall. He's currently committed to Cincy. OTF reported on Sunday that buzz was favorable towards Texas. Now comes the timing. If Gomiller takes his decision to signing day in December, there's not likely going to be a spot for him in Austin. If he decides sooner, that's a different story. Gomiller looks like the likeliest addition at this point in time. Jacob Thomas, 3-star WR, Miami Senior (Miami, Fla.) -- Pitt commit Thomas will unofficially visit Texas this weekend. He does not hold an offer from the Longhorns to this point. Could that change? Yes, but it would likely take further evaluation by the Longhorns staff.
  9. Today
  10. Yeah, that's true, but the way Patterson utterly destroyed Texas athletics for 10+ years for as little of a tenure he had was something to behold. He was Atilla the Hun.
  11. Actually it has been the mediocre 12 since OU and Texas left. 🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿
  12. I have a little different take. I do not think he was all bad. He tried to inject a little bit of sizzle in a conference that was (and is) mired in never-never land (never good enough to hunt with the big dogs, but never crumby enough to be a MAC clone). Let's face it. If you have a crappy piece of meat, no matter how you cook it...........it tastes terrible. I think he didn't understand how difficult dealing with University Presidents, AD's, etc really could be. It gives new meaning to the phrase "hearding cats". The Tech thing probably just pushed him over the edge. Speaking from experience, sometimes a divorce is best for all parties.
  13. He’s ready and rested
  14. Thankfully, he found it in time against Ole Miss.
  15. Texas eventually got CDC as a result of the Patterson debacle. The Big 12 is still the Big 12.
  16. And then retreats back to what was originally working in the fourth quarter. Sometimes too late.
  17. Good stuff, @JustinOTF. This is proof that Sark should continue to lean into the quick game. Not just screens. I’m talking slants, glances, stops, sticks, etc. It’s also easier to protect when you’re in favorable to-go distances on third down and the defense can’t get in a track stance and hunt the quarterback.
  18. Who was worse? Steve Patterson as an AD for Texas or Yormark as the Big 12 Commissioner?
  19. @PaytonOTF with some numbers to back up up what @Rod Babers said about Sark in Year 1: Sark is a master at game-planning and preparation, but he struggles and often loses the battle of in-game adjustments.
  20. He’s still got his fastball. Just ask Trinidad Chambliss.
