  1. Past hour
  2. Dylan Berymon - http://on3.com/rivals/dylan-berymon-238624/ - committed to Nebraska today.
  3. We got more for Davis than we did for Luka - make that make sense Nico....
  4. Even with Nico Harrison gone, no way Dončić comes back to Dallas as long as Dumont and Adelson are running the show. Only way he comes back is if the Mavs move to Vegas in a few years and get an expansion NBA team to replace them.
  5. What are we talking about? Don't care how much they spent this year. We talkin billions to millions when it comes down to it. Let's go back to 1996 when Kentucky actually mattered. If you based your view on what was then, you'd take Delk, Walker, etc. But who was really gonna be the best? Not Kentucky goobers. Even Pitino told you who was the best that draft night.
  6. Anthony Davis finally traded...along with Jaden Hardy, D'Angelo Russell and Dante Exum to Washington or Khris Middleton, AJ Johnson, Malaki Branham, Marvin Bagley III, 2 first-round picks and 3 second-rounders...package those assets and go get Luka back. You can finalize the Luke deal - the return is essentially Khris Middleton, 3 first round picks and 3 second picks.

  8. I used to buy Dallas Morning News, Houston Chronicle and Austin Am Statesman the day after signing day to get a view from across the state. I remember when newspapers actually broke commitment news. The days of calling Jerry Scarborough 1-900 number and the NRA (national recruiting advisor) for recruiting info are way behind us.

  10. KY mbb has struggled with outcomes on the court but KY spends much more on their players. For the 2025-26 season, the Kentucky Wildcats reportedly hold the most expensive men's basketball roster in the SEC and all of college basketball, with a reported NIL payroll of approximately $22 million. This figure is unprecedented in college basketball, far exceeding the typical $10 million range of other top-tier programs. Passionate fan support and their huge NIL budget make blue blood KY the most attractive of the SEC today imo. Agree to disagree on blue blood KY being behind Texas, Florida and Auburn today. Texas could rise above but we aren't there yet. Ditto for Florida but they are closer to KY than TX. Auby has a good coach and team on the rise but they are behind Arkansas as best job imo. Auby seems to be getting more bang for the buck. But Auby spends less on their coach and players than Arkansas. Arkansas has done a better job of prioritizing mbb on a long term basis.
  11. Wilcher has looked better but he is not the shooter with length Texas needs, and he is not a guard that can get downhill. Would be great coming off the bench.
  12. OKAY: Better jobs than Kentucky in the SEC: Texas Florida Auburn This be like Kobe vs phony white boy MVPs for Nash and Nowitzki in the 2000s.
  13. That’s the one thing I haven’t seen from Coach Miller. Make somebody else beat you. I am sure he has his reasons but I haven’t seen that yet.
  14. There are plenty of good things about college football right now. I just miss how fun NSD was to follow
  15. Thanks Rocky. Also, I appreciate your questions/comments on the live shows. An the hats, especially Jordan's, are kickass!
  16. Today
  17. Times are changing for sure. I used to either work from home or take the day off on NSD and watch the "experts" rank the classes, etc. Nowadays it's even hard to get too excited about the December signees as a high percentage of them are unlikely to finish out their days as Longhorns. Thanks for the update CJ 🤘
  18. Coaches think highly of the Texas job for sure: State produces a lot of NBA talent - Tyrese Maxey, Cade Cunningham, Julius Randle, Myles Turner, Jarret Allen, Keyonte George, Anthony Black, Tre Johnson, Ron Holland, Jaylon Tyson, Quentin Grimes, Marcus Smart, Jordan Clarkson, Jordan Walsh, Jarred Vanderbilt, Micah Peavy Moody Center and practice facility is one of best great city (plus a lot of former NBA guys live there now too and have kids coming up - LaMarcus Aldridge, Chris Bosh, etc... KD will part time when he retires I hear) power conference Could/should have enough NIL support ... city to push NIL support Nike contract Has face of Texas basketball engaged in program that is an all-time great - KD etc... And one other thing that makes it attractive ... you go get it done and get to a couple of FF's or actually cut the nets down - court will have your name on it. Never been done before. Opportunity to leave a legacy.
  19. What? You listed 5 teams not in the SEC. This was ONLY the SEC rankings.
  20. On Kentucky: Calipari is and was a used car salesman, recruiting shyster. No one in basketball thinks he could outcoach a real high school guy. That's why he continuously lost with more talent. That's why Kentucky hasn't been real since Pitino. Their fan base is rotten.
  21. Not sure how you be a top basketball job with only top 25-30 NIL...
  22. @Gerry Hamilton thoughts? Goodman seems to always base these off of coaches he talks to.
  23. You boys are lost in media hype. Kentucky is a graveyard. Non-blue bloods like UConn, Florida, Arizona, Villanova, Michigan State, Houston, etc, etc. are better than Kentucky. It's not 1996.
  24. Obviously KY should be #1. Arkansas has had a more consistent winning mbb tradition than Florida but I'm a bit surprised Florida was 5th after their 3 NCs in the 2000s. Florida has 2 more NCs than Ark and has outperformed Arkansas head to head 28-15. I lean Florida #2 since we are talking job rankings of today. Texas has a strong national brand, new stadium and money but I would put us #4 in mbb. Our money has not been all in on mbb. TX fanbase interest and support seems to wane more so when we are not good compared to other passionate basketball programs. TN #5 imo. A&M should not be in the top 6 imo.
  25. Jeff you've pretty much summarized how the team has consistently played in the SEC schedule and what we should expect the rest of the year. It's matchup dependent to an extent but this team lives and dies by Swain shooting efficiently and Mark not having an off night. Matas will be in foul trouble (minus a bad game plan by the opponent not to attack him) every game and Pope will be invisible 50% of the time. We just got to hope that these hot nights by Pope or Heide pop up at the right times. That said, we look like we're tournament bound which is more than I could say a month ago which speaks to the job Miller has been doing of late.
  26. I’m not sure the transfers will be any better, but we’ll see. Maybe they won’t need to be better but hold up just enough.
