  1. Past hour
  2. This is gonna be a long week waiting for the Florida game.
  3. Too bad Mukuba had to lose, but it's always great when the Eagles lose. Hurts hugs.
  4. I said the other day in a post that it’s a large enough sample size now that Arch is what he is. He’s not miraculously getting a lot better with a good week of practice. Arch is a good QB, good athlete, but he not elite……not a Heisman Trophy contender type guy like everyone was hyping him to be. I accepted it awhile back. We’ll win alot of games with him but we aren’t going to beat the likes of Georgia. It’s just not happening. Alot of it is on Sark. Sark’s not an elite offensive mind. I accepted that awhile back too. I’ve said this numerous times that I don’t see how a person can call offensive plays and be the head coach at The University of Texas. Some other places you can be at Texas there is too much of a demand on his time. He has a young wife, young baby and I’m sure she is bitching at him alot too. It’s unbelievable the amount of film you have to watch to be ready to call plays in the SEC and he doesn’t have that kind of time. He relys on Milwee and that other QB coach to break it down and he tries to call it from that. It won’t work at Texas. It worked at Alabama because that’s all he was responsible for and Saban had way better players than everyone else.
  5. Hit to the neck/head is going to draw a flag. Be smart.
  6. The identity is BINGO. Just reach in and pull out a play.
  7. There is none. My preference has always been backs like Kewan Lacy, or Georgia/Alabama type backs. Cooper fits that type. Don’t like these 5’9-5’10 under 200lb backs. Give me a physical run game with a mobile QB with play action, roll outs, tunnel screens. Control the game. Hate these long developing plays. Sark wants to be pretty and finesse and take long shots down the field. Problem is, the OL can’t consistently move/protect.
  8. Why can't they establish any semblance of a consistent run game? A rusher will get in a rhythm then they'll be benched for multiple series... Baffling
  9. Thats why I don’t think it was a penalty
  10. Sark is who he is. He’s an X’s and O’s guy and good recruiter. He’s not the fiery coach who can get everything out of 18-21 yr olds. And yes, teams take on the coach’s personality- see Muschamp’s D in contrast to Sark’s offense. Kirby, Saban, Day, Meyer all emphasized - and demanded - physicality in all 3 phases of the game. This is a game of imposing your will, not X’s and O’s.
  11. In all seriousness, the identity of the offense is living and dying with Arch's playmaking ability. It worked against Ohio State. It didn't work yesterday.
  12. Thank you, @General Grant. A strong candidate for Post of the Year!
  13. Personal insults aside, you’re arguing against a point I never made. I’m judging what’s publicly shown, and there’s a clear difference in the intensity, passion, and fire those clips display. Nobody said Sark has never yelled in a locker room. The question is what his teams consistently show on the field. Discipline, toughness, and accountability have been issues, particularly on offense. If you can’t separate criticism of a coach from a personal attack, that’s your problem, not mine.
  14. Different players respond to coaching differently. Kirby recruits kids that respond to his style. No one can say Georgia is not physical or they are soft. Coach Boom brings it on defense for us. Sark is definitely more cerebral and I can see how he tries to reach the kids through mental approaches to problem solving and unity. His meditations and culture days are good, but you gotta be tough too. Our offense is finesse and is not tough. That is just straight up a fact. And that is just straight up a reflection of who Sark is. He can’t be something he is not, but he needs to figure out how to reach his team and overcome the dumb penalties and lethargic stutters. Kirby is an F350 diesel that always starts, chugs along, pulls whatever load you put on it and almost indestructibly tough. Sark is a vintage Lamborghini that looks awesome in the garage until it breaks after driving it a few miles at 190. Then there is Elko, who is basically a roadside bomb waiting to blow up his team and the fanbase with it. Just is what it is at this point. We can’t fix it on OTF, but I guess we should be thankful we have a Lamborghini and not a car bomb.
  15. It’s actually unbelievable to me that sark hasn’t like set up 5 plays that are the “bread and butter”. Our offense is basically just a Chili’s menu - a bunch of random food items that can vary significantly from day to day, mostly averaging out at meh.
  16. Calling a spade a spade for me is putting this on Arch’s shoulders. I understand special teams can’t give up that punt block TD. Defense was a bit leaky but still damn good enough to win. Sark can improve some play calling, but at the end if the QB can’t go through his reads and simply throw the ball away when needed, we aren’t going to accomplish what we want. I’ve defended Arch till yesterday I’m done, he’s been in the system for 4 years, starting full time for 2 and he still can’t be consistent, we’ve won big games but I can make the argument our defense has been a bigger factor for those wins. I’ve come to terms that Arch is just an average qb at best with some random big plays here and there.
  17. If we lose to UF next week this place will be a hell hole😭
  18. Everybody has a diff style. Look up tom Landry yo
  19. Mods, who determines what players are in the game on our offensive plays? It just seems to me that Sark makes the right call but it's head scratching to see what RB is getting the ball (I.e. Brown on a short and 2). Not understanding why Bishop and Cooper aren't getting more looks when they appear to be our players with the most Pop. So the package goes in and Sark then calls the play based on those players or is it pretty much everyone knows how to run the play, let's do it and see what we get?
  20. And sometimes the QB just isn’t good. All can be true. I just don’t know with Arch yet to write it down in permanent marker.
  21. Sometimes it’s fit, sometimes it’s maturity. Kurt Warner is in the HOF, how many years was he in the minors?
  22. No identity. The RB who left is thriving at Kentucky as the rbs we brought in combined don't have Baxters production. Hard headed offensive play caller or doesn't take the simple plays and constantly has his QBs with their backs against the wall due to inconsistent running calls, late developing routes/plays with out hot routes available for when teams overwhelm them with the blitz.
