Brooks Austin: Texas Failed Arch lasts. Rips Flood & OL.
HonkEm replied to SamuraiKnight's topic in On Texas Football Forum
LMAO.... The “Texas failed Arch” take is peak August desperation from a dude who needs clicks like oxygen. Arch was a true freshman who needed weight, timing, and Sark’s install --- not tossed into garbage‑time clown snaps so some YouTube film bro could pause clips and pretend he’s uncovering state secrets. This is the same guy who watches three plays, declares himself a QB guru, and somehow still manages to misunderstand all three. Texas didn’t fail Arch. Texas protected him. The film guy needed clicks, a headline, and maybe a helmet so he stops injuring himself with his own analysis. -
Interesting video title when one of the first clips he shows is Arch missing Wingo from 5 yards away from a perfectly clean pocket and he talks for 2 minutes about how many easy throws Arch missed the whole season. But I guess the title "Arch had his own struggles and Texas failed to support him at times" doesn't quite get the clicks that "TEXAS FAILED ARCH" does.

He is 100% correct. OL/TE/WR were horrific last year and Arch was left out to dry. False starts, poor blocking, lack of blitz recognition, over 8% of Arch's passes were dropped (led the nation by more than 5%), and false start after false start plagued us every game and every series. Kyle Flood makes 1.8 million... it's his damn job to get the OL $hi7 right.

The Ohio State Buckeyes recently kicked off their fall practice by hosting an "NFL Open Practice" style event for fans, and word is they might hold a few more. This marks a potential shift in how major programs approach fall camp. In today's NIL and facility "arms race," is any extra revenue stream worth pursuing if it also gives fans a fun, unique experience? How do we feel about this overall? How much would you personally be willing to pay to attend one of these open practices?

Not trying to be mean to Weaver … but no he wasn’t. Opponents literally didn’t guard him. Texas was playing 4 on 5 on offensive end. Love his hustle and effort. Always loved his attitude, but he just never developed offensively.

He is so different than his sister Kennedy. She is an exceptional talent but can't stick with a WNBA team due to her attitude.

...I was in grad school during the Ricky years and would go to as many practices as I could to see the team. One of my best memories was seeing Ricky get a swing pass and run down the sidelines. He took my breath away. He was fast and muscle on muscle. Basically unstoppable. I also got to talk to coaches on a few occasions. Such great memories. Later that semester, Ricky had a class next to mine and we chopped it up a few times a week. Being as I was from L.A., we had the California experience to talk about. He was always polite! Love that dude.

Sipping Jack and Coke from a Dixie Cup while smoking a cigarette on the sidelines while the defense is on the field….Classic!

I was talking about the Wooden specifically. Pretty clear who the cream of the crop teams are though. -

No worries. If history is a guide, Will Wade will just place a “strong ass” order for some elite recruits and voila!

It’s funny how much he’s hated after the way he did NC State … cost him in portal. LSU has 12mill+ to spend on this team

4:1 staff to player ratio is pretty sick. Those players are going to be DEVELOPED.
