It's just a matter of NIL. Texas saw Wisner as a good #1 but not good enough to be the lead back. Wisner wanted #1 RB money. We will see if he gets it in the portal (doubtful IMO).

Sucks to lose him but happy Texas isn't caving to these oversized demands this year. That was a big issue on 2025. You can't overpay for DeAndre Moore types when other programs go and get stars out of the portal for the same price.

This is kind of the way I feel. Guys like Adoni Mitchell, Andrew Mukuba and Matthew Caldwell will all seem more like Longhorns than Wisner or Lefau which feels weird.

Wow… I’m in disbelief. Love that guy. I’m not sure how much the kid was asking for, but based on his ability to slay Oklahoma and Texas A&M alone, I would’ve brought him back. Unless he was demanding to be RB 1 or RB 1 $$$? He clearly showed this year that his body cannot take the physicality and beating of being RB 1 though ☹️

I'm very excited to see MT3 get some touches against Michigan. All reports are that he's been looking great at RB. Hate to see Wisner go, but next man up. All the best to Tre, he always showed up when we needed him most.

Maybe and this is a very loose maybe before NIL but even going back 10-20 years you still had processing of players. This is a business now and you should adjust your thoughts as such.

I get it. Still don't like all this instability. Having said that, Bobby on the show just said that he asked for a million dollars... that's absurd. Lot of kids getting lost in the empty talks with their agents imo. He's gonna reflect on this a couple of weeks from now and realised he made a big mistake. Good riddance.

1. Texas is building an offense around perhaps the best quarterback in the country and a defense around perhaps the best pass rusher in the country. Not a bad start. 2. Texas is far from the only top-tier program that’s going to experience a lot of roster turnover.

That’s expected to be the plan. They might’ve taken the right two if Wisner had come back.

This one stings. That dude stepped up in a big way when C4 went down. Seeing him in another uni is going to suck. I'm assuming his agent said he needed another year for his draft stock and Texas want paying feature back money.

Any report this month about Wisner returning was quite inaccurate. There was a consistent gap between Texas and Wisner’s camp which was obviously never bridged. It’s also why I maintained “all three avenues” were on the table for the Longhorn RB throughout this process.

While it sucks, this could be a sign that sark is truly changing up his philosophy/style of back he truly wants. Or he wanted too much NIL lol it happens new day of age, but I like to think it the former.

What a bad move on his part. Best of luck though.
