Not as terrible as the OL๐ค
-
It's hard to say but I have seen enough tape on him and the mistakes that I am skeptical.... A better OL would definitely help some though. The entire offense is broken.
-
OK. I was turning up the contrast but understand your pov. IMHO if Arch didn't face impending doom all the time he'd be championship worthy if used to maximize his strengths and minimize weaknesses (plus some mechanical / practice reps on the backyard layups he still struggles with). He's tough, athletic, can hit a handful of deep shots per game, and just needs to think less and have confidence.
-
That was good. I completely forgot Mizzou lost to both Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
-
Not really. Not my fault Arch is terrible.
-
That is a personal problem. ๐ค๐ป๐ค๐ผ๐ค๐ค๐ฝ๐ค๐พ๐ค๐ฟ

It was a brutal time

Neither..... He said he would take Arch with a good OL. I wouldn't because I do not think he is good enough to win it all....
-
Which would you rather have, a future nfl clipboard holder behind a Joe Moore OL with a functional running game, or a Fernando Mendoza / Bo Nix type behind the bad news bears?
-
I wouldn't....

Iโll take our chances with our QB if we have a decent o-line.
-
I agree. KJ coming in an just handing the ball off is not useful at all. Mark my word, we will need KJ Lacey at some point this season. Arch looked like he barely survived that MSU game. He was bleeding and getting up slow a number of times after taking too many big hits. Sark's going to keep using him that way because he's most effective when his legs are a factor too but it'll be inevitable he gets knocked out of a game at some point.
-
We don't make the playoffs, he gets one mulligan at the expense of the OC before he's on the chopping block. So he'd have to get rid of Flood at the minimum which would open up the OL coaching position as well. I'd find a OC that he trust calling plays too. Unfortunately these decisions will coincide with the QB situation. We need an OC and a QB that fit. Arch an Sark do not fit well together and it's painful watching the offense so inconsistent.
-
I agree. I hope Chris, Kevin, and Jim have enough fortitude to dismiss him if it is obvious he's going to steam the program at max speed into an iceberg.
-
Yea I hope you are correct. This is the obvious move IMO. I choose to believe that Sark's narcissism is not so extreme that be will insist on being his own OC yet again. If I am wrong about that, then just fire the guy, because he isn't going to get us where we want to be.
-
Again, I don't see this as "forced". It is incredibly obvious that it needs to happen. If Sark looks at the last two seasons and thinks what he is doing on offense is working, then the narcissism and delusion is even worse than I thought. IMO the two paths are 1.) Sark sees what all of us do and makes the obvious move to bring in a new vision offensively or 2.) Sark shows he is unfit to lead the program and we eat the $30-$50M just like A&M, Penn State, LSU, and FSU all have done. I'm not suggesting we have Sark coaching with an offensive coordinator he doesn't want. If Sark is that much of a child then he just needs to get fired instead.

Oh how quickly we forget. That said can we please get a competent offensive line, pretty please?!
-
Thatโs late in Mackโs tenure (2011), Charlie Strongโs last season (2016) and Sarkโs first season (2021). Texas wandered in the desert for more than a decade.
-
Take it with a dose of satire. Zero percent chance Major coaches at Texas again.
-
Solomon would struggle to pick up Sark's scheme.
