  2. Texas and Clemson 4-star commit Dre Quinn OnTexasFootball can report that the Texas staff definitely remains in contact with 4-star+ EDGE and Clemson verbal Dre Quinn (Buford, Ga./High). Quinn was recently on a visit to Tennessee for the Georgia game. The Vols are a serious player. Quinn picked Clemson over Texas June 19, due in part to Texas having a loaded EDGE depth chart. We shall see if that thought process changes, but OTF feels comfortable saying the Texas staff would certainly entertain a flip of the 6-4, 230-pounder wanted to play for the Longhorns.

  3. I think we are going to see Simmons and Hill elevate their play and look more like they did last year. Gonna be a long day for Lagway.
  4. Defense should feast. Pass rushers should flush him out the pocket all night. Believe Baugh got hurt last night as well.
  5. Hope those burgers Coach Vic was cooking a WBB tailgate yesterday closed the deal
  6. None of the Texas running backs do anything when they reach the second level. Simon can make people miss in the hole, but he doesn't have the abililty to plant his foot and break arm tackles then take it to the house. Actually, none of the running backs do. Justice Haynes would of have been huge portal pickup during the off-season, as he would have given Texas the homerun hitter it desperately needs at running back.
  7. I kept my eyes on the offensive line last night and something popped up in my mind. Some of the Olineman seemed a little short in the torso and long in the legs. Maybe I'm just seeing things but when Cambell was running down the sidelines on a run play I noticed that he doesn't have that typical low center of gravity that's considered ideal for interior guys. Then I started looking at the line in general ................ That's often called being "Hi Cut". I see this term in NFL combine analysis and it's often considered a negative in run blocking. Also, when the Coleman brothers and Daniel Cruz got involved they actually seemed more torso/leg proportional than the starters did. Maybe I'm just reaching in an attempt to understand the lack of run game push. I'm open to being completely wrong here. Has anybody noticed that our lineman seemed a little hi cut?
  8. That was a hell of a catch too even though he was beat he hustled and more often than not that ball gets dropped
  9. I like the night games way more than the 11:00 am ones.
  10. Yet another bemusing thing about speculative opinions.
  11. Count me as not surprised. There was flagrant DPI by OU that went uncalled also.
  12. Clearly he’s a liability!
  13. Our edges will have to keep contain, he does a good job of getting outside the pocket. We have been aggressive with our rushes the first 4 games and gave up some integrity.
  14. In the last two games vs. LSU and Miami 45-72 passing (62.5%) 348 pass yards 4.833 yards per attempt 1 touchdown 5 INT 7 sacks taken
  15. If I recall correctly, the refs screwed Auburn in this game last year too. They definitely gave Mobile-homa the victory against South Carolina last year.
  16. You should never hate being right.
  17. I'm thinking Kobe Black will still be corner #3 when he's back. I could see Guilbeau getting few snaps going forward.
  18. He wasn’t, pardon the pun, stellar at STAR either.
  19. For a decade they clearly worked on holding in practice so this is not surprising.
  20. Early prediction but I predict Texas will pick Lagway off 2-3 times in Gainesville .
  21. I hate myself but I agree with you on this lord help me.
  22. I've seen a couple of places listing the Florida game now for noon. That's good for us. Would have been a night game if Florida kept up.
