Am I crazy for this but it really doesn't make sense that we play the first round on a thursday and a friday? Now I'm sitting around on a sunday morning with nothing to watch. Maybe do the second round on mon/tues where you can schedule it better to be after work. Then again, I do love watching some march madness at work. Also, it being my first year in Pacific time has made me more aware of this.

That's wild. Could draw up some fun fake FGs. -
That’s one way to impress scouts. 4.47 you can kickoff and be the gunner as well.

It was all fun and games when Duke was pushed, St Louis said hold my beer. Michigan is super frustrated they aren't blowing out STL😂 That's the hard part when playing these lower seeded teams that don't match up with you, but they run a crisp and clean offensive set that you normally don't see. -
I’d be very careful about jerking guys around to different roles. We saw what it did to Ruger last year. There is zero guarantee Cozart is a good Sunday starter. We know Volantis is a great one. I’d much rather work with the pieces we got in the bullpen and iron it out vs wholesale changes to the entire staff.
-
You’ve got Grubbs, too. This was a case of trying to steal a win by stretching pitching instead of taking the opportunity to win when it presented itself. If Schloss truly thought that was his best chance of winning, then Cozart or Volantis has to move from starter to close out games. What was rolled out last night not only didn’t work in that one instance, it’s not sustainable.

I don't get why fans try to gauge conferences. How strong or weak a conference is perceived to be isn't an indictment on an individual team. Moreso, if you win a championship and don't play in the strongest conference (hello UConn women) does that take away from the fact that you either beat enough of or everyone that was put in front of you? In my most humble opinion the we play in this conference or that conference is an excuse fans use when their team doesn't get the job done.🤷🏿 -
Eh. I didn’t see a lack of focus. I see a very possible weakness and it’s the bullpen. My recollection is Burns has had one bad outing and he was to be the closer. Well, we didn’t roll with him and went with a situational guy in a high leverage situation to be a shut down closer. It was a gamble that backfired. That’s a problem. Texas is going to have to do something. Either trust Burns or shake up the lineup. This is two losses on consecutive Fridays where we have blown a lead and we shouldn’t have. Instead of being 4-0 we are 2-2. Starting pitching has been outstanding.

Some of y’all are overestimating the floor if he were to choose baseball. Unless you’re a top 10 pick you have about a 15% chance of having a 3-year plus career even if you make it into the first round. His floor in baseball is probably his signing bonus. In football it’s probably $10-15m. With his talent baseball is the bigger gamble.

Katie is my favorite, you hardly even notice her out there. She is all business, Henry is the fun one to watch. Just like Goode, Henry is always having fun. She's hilarious when she gets on base with all her dancing and antics. -

25-26 Director's Cup Thread

I really don't get it. It seems like we focus on the sprint events regardless. The Indoor Championships were last week. Texas finished: Mens: 12 points, 24th place. Outscored by NAU (7th), Villanova (14th), New Mexico (19th) Womens: 8 points, tied for 28th place. Outscored by New Mexico (10th), South Dakota (15th), Tarleton State (23rd), Princeton (27) I realize that some of these athletes are at specific schools because of the coach that is in place for their event - but some of these kids were just underrecruited, too. Not sure why Texas can't just NIL top performing kids from small schools to earn some extra points considering that T&F field events have a way disproportionate value because of the multiple championships. Below is a list of frosh/sophomore student athletes from smaller schools that it seems like we could recruit to join our teams in non-sprint events. I'm just a fat guy with a spreadsheet, this can't be that complicated lol Tshephang DANKURU FR Texas State (6th mens high jump) Ricardo MONTES DE OCA SO High Point (7th mens pole vault) Anna WILLIS SO South Dakota (3rd womens pole vault) Prestina OCHONOGOR SO Tarleton State (5th womens long jump) Jessica OJI FR Penn (7th womens shot) Kenneth BYRD SO Louisville (2nd mens Hept) Allie ZEALAND SO Liberty (5th womens 3000M) Pamela KOSGEI SO New Mexico (3rd womens 5000M) Edna CHELULEI SO Eastern Kentucky (6th womens 5000M) Victoria CAMERON SO Tarleton State (3rd womens 60M) Bradley FRANKLIN SO Samford (2nd mens 60M hurdles) Matthew ENDRODY SO New Mexico (6th mens 1 mile)
