Sports uniforms look like this across the world except for a) America and b) the very top tier soccer leagues in Europe. European hockey, skating billboards. European basketball, billboards. Volleyball, handball, motorsports (duh), cycling billboard billboard billboard. Every single sport in Central/South America including soccer - billboard. Only the national teams are exempt, and that's only match uniforms. All training wear is sponsored and often multiple sponsors. In short - we have this thing about tradition and it's kept this at bay in revenue sports in the US. Owners & advertisers are licking their chops and the money is going to be too good to ignore at some point. Welcome to the billboards.

Continuing my work to purge my basement and storage totes to only keep what I really need. I have a little stack of patches I purchased from Last Stand Hats when they lost their UT license and couldn’t sell logo merch anymore. Happy to sell these by the piece or as a lot. Like $3 ea plus ship, neg on the lot. theres also some magazines, a bumper sticker and some other athletic department stuff from the late 90s early 00s in case anyone would like to hold onto it. SI issues are pretty clean, other stuff is a bit banged up. I also have some US postal/ Lance Armstrong stuff from his yellow jersey period if anyone collects items from lying bastards (respectfully). just DM if interested in anything!

This is interesting in that I believe I only see 6 SEC schools among the schools ranked & receiving votes. Women's soccer is a lot more ACC & rando schools around the country focused than most other D1 sports. In a 5/5 and NIL environment - schools like Texas should be able to excel by finding kids that overachieve as FR/SO around the country, and then want to make some $ and get a more recognizable degree. Good luck to Coach Bates & the ladies! Let's hope Texas Soccer finally gets to where it should have been since Day 1 !

Those are the Nike Free Trainer 5.0 V6 amp. 723939-800. Never worn. $110 MSRP. They're from 2015 - have just been sitting in my collection since then. Texas does custom colorways w/ logos for the big schools with their amp shoes - so there are Ohio State, Oregon, etc versions floating around out there, too. These are Charlie Strong era - maybe you've blocked it out of your mind 🙂 I'd do like $50 + ship if you're interested on those.
