  1. Past hour
  2. What happened when they needed throw strikes but couldn't? You can say they didn't "execute," but you can't compete without executing under pressure.
  3. Gerry, the sticking point is "on command." Do they score more than 80 some of the time? Of course, but they don't score more than 80 every time, especially not against the best competition later in the tournament. Coaches would always like to score as much as possible. That would be "on command."
  4. Have to have the ability to go score 80+ on command when the game calls for a team to. Nothing has changed. Deep run teams historically have had multiple games in the tournament where they had to get 80 to survive and advance. All one has to do is the research. Colleges coaches literally have on boards… have to be able to score 75+ in the NCAA Tournament, and go get 80+ when pushed to the limit. If you are playing against a high level teams, they are going to score on good defense. So you have to as well. There is reason guys like Kelvin Sampson and Rick Barnes (terrific coaches) struggle in the higher scoring games
  5. Sounds like they were ready then? They led 6-4 in the 6th inning. They didn’t lose because they didn’t “compete” enough.
  6. Title game was called differently than all the other games. That's always the case. Point is, plenty of teams succeeded in the tournament without scoring big. Latest "trends" indicate you need size and defense more than scoring. There's no denying that. That being the case, we need a 4 that can rebound and muscle more than space and shoot. If you can shoot 1-3, that will provide more than enough space.
  7. Maybe we'll catch a break and the game will be canceled today.
  8. The women portal talk has been very limited across multiple sites. Did we have anyone visit this weekend?
  9. Today
  10. First series loss of the year I believe for baseball and the 2nd for the ladies. Not too shabby. Never ideal to lose to rivals but it happens. Time to bounce back and carry on.
  11. The most disappointing thig is that the team just hasn't been ready to compete. First game was close, but literally couldn't throw a strike when needed. Game two was a joke all around. This is not a good sign for the postseason.
  12. Baseball and Softball have both hit the skids, Awful weekend so far
  13. Our top 2 sluggers have struck out 4 times? did i hear that right?
  14. I can’t believe no one is on here blaming Kyle Flood like everything else lol
  15. He’ll call you a name or do the laughing emoji thinking this wins the argument. He is indefatigable.
  16. Pitching has been horrendous but right now the hitting isn't good either, We aren't stringing hits together and advancing runners and are only scoring through homeruns
  17. If no one else enters the portal, my starting five: Breya Cunningham (Center), Maddie Booker (Small Forward), Bri Preston (Point Guard), Isu Itute (Power Forward) and Adison Bjorn (Shooting Guard). That is a great starting five. Isu, though technically a freshmen, has been playing against and with Euro pros for several years.
  18. Well he better tell his pitchers that lol they love to give up free bases.
  19. That's it for Schloss. Texas will look to avoid a series sweep tomorrow at 1 p.m. (SEC Network+).
  20. Schloss said there was talk about pushing the game back because of the weather. At the end of the day, they decided to go with the scheduled start, even though neither coach wanted to deal with a lengthy delay. "Should've been a basketball coach if you don't like the weather," he said.
  21. Gonna put that on the outfield wall next to all the nattys they have…
