I would say top to bottom every sport has a head coach capable of winning at a very high level. Del Conte has done a fabulous job of giving coaches the leeway and resources to compete on every level from locker rooms to practice facilities to fan experience which in turn drives the donor pool. Excited to see what the next couple of years brings.

There’s another complication (that may not apply to all): alcohol. I for one don’t drink much if I’m watching on tv, certainly not for day games. But if going in person I’m more likely to drink a fair amount. Leads to a more emotional reaction: higher highs, lower lows. Counterpoint to my own point: for those of us with seats high up, we can see plays develop much better in person than on television, where the camera tends to focus almost exclusively on the quarterback.
