  1. Past hour
  2. 2024: Texas 27, Vanderbilt 24. Texas led 21–7 at halftime but failed to put Vanderbilt away. They pulled within three late, and Texas recovered the onside kick to preserve the win. 2024: Texas 20, Arkansas 10. Struggled to generate offense. Arkansas cut the lead to 13–10 in the fourth quarter, and Texas needed a late touchdown to put the game away. 2025: Texas 34, Vanderbilt 31. Texas had 34–10 lead before Vanderbilt scored 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter. Another game that looked comfortable before becoming a three-point finish. 2026: Texas 20, Tennessee 17. Texas needed to survive a recovered Tennessee onside kick and a Hail Mary attempt on the final play. What’s concerning is how long this pattern has existed. Blown leads, disappearing offense, questionable situational football, and games that should’ve been put away coming down to the final possession. We’ve seen it repeatedly. A handful of plays go differently and the entire perception of Sark’s tenure changes. At what point do we acknowledge these aren’t isolated performances, but recurring problems that still haven’t been corrected in year six?

  4. Being fearless helps. Like Bolden.
  5. Just going down memory lane about how many unlikely or very close wins Sark has had under his tenure. Many with a very similar outline as the Florida/OU games. If any or most of these are L's how does that change his approach or is he even around right now? How long have we been waiting for this "evaluation"? 2023 Texas 33 - Kansas State 30 (OT): 4th down stop in OT to seal it; Texas led 17-0 Texas 31 - Houston 24: (sketchy) 4th down stop on the final drive to seal it; Texas led 21-0 Texas 29 - TCU 26: Adonai Mitchell catch to seal it on 3rd and long; Texas led 26-6 2024 Texas 39 - Arizona State 31 (2OT): Converts 4th and 13 to stay alive in OT; Texas led 24-8 2025 Texas 16 - Kentucky 13 (OT): awful offsenive performance; Texas led 10-3 Texas 45 - Mississppi State 38 (OT): 24 fourth quarter points to tie the game for OT; Texas did not lead outside of the first quarter 2026 Texas 24 - Ohio State 23: 3 touchdowns in the 4th quarter to get the lead; Texas never led in the game outside of the final drive for OSU Any others?
  6. No coach is staying at Kentucky if a big dawg calls.
  7. Will Stein was born and raised in Kentucky and a died hard Kentucky Wildcat.
  8. So what is more telling to me is how infrequent the opponents LBs hang back over the middle or where the safeties play. I would like to see if someone more knowledgeable and with access to All22 can look at it from a defensive standpoint and see how they play us. I have a very strong feeling that there is such a low possibility of us throwing short middle throws that they don’t even use LBs to defend it.
  9. Johnnie Johnson was special
  10. There’s certainly a spot for him in the NFL as a punt returner. Do we think he’s drafted and if so where would he be drafted?
  11. In the scheme of Texas football history he’s starting to get to a point that’s historical……
  12. Special player as Returner. Is he the best pure Punt Returner Texas has ever had? Hes a return or two away from once again being tabbed as an All American and a finalist the National award for a Punt/Kick returner.

  15. The Head Coach signs off on every take.
  16. Sark said he earned this job because he was good at calling plays. But is he, truly? He is great at play-design and he has shown that his opening script is always on-point. They marched down the field 75 yards and I found myself ecstatic thinking that he finally unlocked it. But then when a defense makes adjustments he bangs his head on the wall for 3 of 4 quarters. He runs when he should throw and vice versa. Which has trickled down to Arch. His most successful offensive roles have been under Pete freakin’ Carroll and Nick freakin’ Saban. Two of the GOATS. He was mid at USC as HC and mid at UW as HC. At this point you remove the decorative ‘Offensive Coordinator’ title from Flood and tell him his sole focus is OL. Sark hands the sheet to Milwee in the booth to call the plays (so he can be the next scapegoat). Because if he doesn’t do something different, his photo should be placed in the Webster’s Dictionary as a prime example of “Insanity.”
  17. By the time you’re overhauling the staff in year six, the problems usually run deeper than the assistants.
  18. I agree completely @Marcus Myers. However, it was mentioned my another poster on a different BBS, Sark's identity as a HC is being an play caller. It's what he knows and I dare say finds validation in. That's why he ostensibly hired Muschamp to be on complete charge of defense. Plus, what if he does hire a play calling OC and the offense takes off? Will his ego be able to handle it? Additionally, he's so loyal to underperforming assistants (stares in the general direction of Flood and Banks) they would probably undermine the new OC. I'm just not sure anything of significance changes without Sark going.
  19. @Marcus Myers my question to you is, why has Texas regressed, specifically Arch, in the same playcalling system from the year prior? Something has to be going on behind closed doors that we don’t know about, because it’s almost impressive to have regressed as an offense with all the talent you have. Just doesn’t make any sense to me. I guess there’s just no air in the atmosphere offensively.
  20. My question is it on Sark or Arch? Granted if Arch can’t react to a heavy blitz it’s on Sark to find someone who can.
  21. Will say this. This board has the best in the business at this. They do not sugar coat. They tell you what they see. They do spend time on the road scouting . Not sure what is wrong with this team . Not sure the coaches know.
  22. No doubt. Just compare the UTSA tape from both years.
  23. Against MSU he was 26-31 for 325 yards and 2 TDs. I don't think we can do that against air now.
  24. It's most definitely worse than it was at the end of the 2025 season. About the same as it was with Stroh playing, which is simply amazing.
  25. Real scouting tells you what a player can AND can’t do. When every commitment gets a “BOOM!” and glowing reviews, but weaknesses are rarely discussed, that’s not objective scouting. That’s marketing.
  26. Problem still remains that Sark has no answer for when defenses send 6 and 7 guys after Arch. Every DC has looked like a genius against Texas and then go back to reality when they play other teams. I am assuming Sark has removed all bootlegs, TE slants and draw plays from his playbook because these aggressive defenses have not been punished for their aggressiveness. 100% on Sark
