  1. Past hour
  2. Just announced they will no longer be selling Texas products at end of year. Such a huge bummer. Any other brands that are your go to for longhorn hats?
  3. North Carolina LB Khmori House has entered the portal. He followed Stephen Belichick from Washington to UNC a year ago and had a big time season. Sarkisian mentioned LB in the portal was an option, to what level of player, I don't know. But Texas hosted Khmori House out of HS for an official visit in June of 2023.
  4. Will we be interested here? He took an OV to Texas and I believe we came in 2nd to UW.
  5. To me it was a clear message to guys looking for an opportunity (well, agents) that Texas is gonna be in the market big time.
  6. They're not going to be. You don't go into the NSD press conference and mention the need to sure up the OL in the portal 3 times just for funsies
  7. I watched each game streamed on NFHS. There were a few games available on YouTube, like Prosper vs Allen from last month.
  8. Sarks -Brandon Harris got this covered! We are taking 3 interior guys ! 1 of 3 can play OT in a pinch… all 3 can play center! Our OL was a f or d grad 1rst 5 games….no ability to give Arch any life in his transition. ( yes he couldnt hit the broadside of barn at times)…. OL never allowed us to lean into run game… giving Arch a breather….nor did we have our full Wr - Te Endries at full steam! Im thankful for Sarks coaching… his staff… we simply had no run … and no pass protection w no fully operational Wr first 6 games! we are lucky to have Arch and Sark n Staff!
  9. Urban Meyer is tanned, fat and rested. Also, Kelly seems to have some free time on his hands.
  10. Check out the rg and lg starters at penn state. Both starters and backups are portal eligible. They are familiar with each other and would be a plug and play situation. Also no head coach yet.
  11. Also, what are we rewarding when the 118th (JMU), 125th (North Texas) strength of schedules are getting in the CFP, lol.
  12. If that happened, the fan base would make Jan 6 look like a picnic.
  13. I keep seeing people pointing to the fact that the gators have 4 wins and that looks bad. Are we forgetting Florida has the 2nd hardest schedule in the nation? I know Billy was fired but if that team is remotely healthy they are probably favored against all but 1 big 12 team.
  14. I don’t think the fan base would be to happy if Stroh and Brooks were our starting guards…😭😭
  15. Connor Robertson if he decides to come back. I'm sure Daniel Cruz will compete for the job
  16. Today
  17. Those saying Bama is a better job than Penn State aren't wrong. However, Penn State isn't trash either. It's a good academic school in the Big 10 with a stadium that seats 106k and a fanbase obsessed with football. Not like it's a terrible gig. JF had them competitive most years but only won the Big 10 once. They gave him 11 years. Imagine what KD could do. Same general argument if USC opened up. Saban looking over your shoulder with an office in the facility and a possibly unbeatable legacy is a lot to deal with. Bama fans are ruthless from the Saban entitlement. Not everybody loves that idea. I'm not saying KD will leave or stay but I wouldn't be surprised either way. Penn State would hire him in a heartbeat and give him plenty of rebuilding time if he wanted out of Bama.
  18. I believe that if you surveyed college football fans, media members, coaches, and other respected figures in the sport about who deserves a playoff spot this year—Texas or the other contenders (Notre Dame, Miami, Oklahoma, Alabama)—Texas would receive the most support. Their résumé stands out when you look at the combination of overall record, the difficulty of both their conference and non-conference schedules, and their head-to-head results. Choosing Texas would also avoid setting a precedent that encourages teams to schedule weak non-conference opponents. And when you consider the context of their losses—falling to Ohio State by just one score on the road while outgaining them in total yards, and trailing Georgia by only four points in the fourth quarter—it strengthens their case even further. The committee’s framing of the Florida loss also seems misleading; Florida was far from a Division III-level opponent, had an elite roster, and nearly beat Georgia this season.
  19. He’s pretty small for the SEC. Jalen Catalon minus 25 pounds.
  20. I zapped the record information from Marathon's analysis for brevity. I think he really hit the nail on the head....... the "committee" looks at won/loss records. That is the flaw. College football is NOT the NFL! The differences between the best and worst teams in the NFL are small. Won/Loss records are a valid analysis. This is not true in college ball. There is a huge difference between the top 20 schools and the bottom 70 schools. The Committee and other pundits that use only W/L which is insane. Finally, what makes the football tournament so frustrating is that it doesn't even follow the same logic format as all of the other NCAA sports. I am sure Jeff or someone can elaborate, but the final tournament rankings do not value wins against cream puffs and assign a + value to games with the highest ranked teams. Basically, the people that control football are idiots. Ultimately these guys will force a 48 school (or less) national league upon us. This will kill the Texas States, James Madisons, etc. I need to stop now.
  21. Where did he say that? and why?
  22. I have heard that he may get a few more PSU guys to VaTech via the portal.
