  1. Past hour
  2. A lot of great points have already been made. I’ll just say that while penalties killed us, Shark was out coached and Arch failed to execute simple short passes at critical moments and frankly throughout the game. How many easy throws did he drill into the ground or throw behind wide open receivers? He also made terrific passes and I believe he will become more consistent over time. But at some point Sark has to prove he can win against elite competition because he hasn’t done it as a head coach and more importantly at Texas. The win against Saban two years ago is the only one. Michigan last year doesn’t count because they were bad. Since then, two losses to Georgia and two losses OSU. The monkey is getting a large on his back. On the positive side,Hats off to the defense. If you only allow 14 points,, your team ought to win even if you committed penalties that gave the other team seven of those points. The good news is that if the offense can just become competent, this team could go all the way.
  3. Agree. Stroh looked awesome out there and next to Goosby that’s a hell of a duo. Woulda coulda but Arch should have snuck it on that side.
  4. Despite the lack of burst in the RB room, 200+ rushing ypg and 5+ ypc is very doable, especially when you throw in Manning’s running ability. That might be the best way to maximize this offense this season. The right side of the line needs to match that and they’ll be set.
  5. I think this is pretty spot on. Not sure what Sark needs to do better play design/calling wise, but he seemed pleased with the calls in that 1st half, so not sure it's going to change. Seems like a lot of us underestimated Patracia's D and his influence on it. Seems like it rattled Arch more than we thought. Arch seemed to have the tips from the get go, that first pass of his might've been the warning sign. He got it going late in the game but by then still too late and still making some poor decisions.
  6. Considering how much better Beck looked against ND with Miami, I'd say Ewers not coming back somewhere else for another year was maybe a mistake on his part. We'll see how Beck does on the season, but he was a big reason they won that game, imo. Not sure who the rumored team was that wanted him but I do admire his loyalty to Texas and not wanting to play for anyone else. I just wonder if another year in college would've benefited him. As in if the guy sitting behind him wasn't Arch Manning, does he come back for another year?
  7. Well sure just like any player would. It is easier to think a call through than to think a play thru then deliver physically. That is probably a common denominator for any game. There are plays that leave points on the table due to lack of execution.
  8. Today
  9. ...which bodes well for the running game. Connor Stroh is huge and strong as can be. I was really impressed with how well he played.
  10. I like these cut ups vs teams. I'll post the O here, as it's every offensive play against Ohio State. If you want to watch the D, you can find it on this guys channel. The other guy I used to watch that made these, stopped doing them this year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96PtApR4fn0
  11. Yeah, Arch has a higher ceiling than Sayin though. Arch is the prototype of what you would want your QB to look like if you built him in a lab. I still don’t know about Sayin’s deep ball though, he under threw Tate pretty bad on the TD. I was glad to see that his “quick processing and accuracy” that we heard about all off season seems to not have been overstated.
  12. It just doesn’t make sense because I truly believe Sark is an elite play caller, and this game doesn’t diminish that to me. I just wonder if behind the scenes Arch has struggled and Sark knows he isn’t capable of running the full offense, at least not yet.
  13. Needs a real OC that can call plays. I do want to see what adjustments are made from this game to the games in Gainesville and Dallas to validate my thoughts. Flood and Milwee are OC and Co-OC to justify their pay, but they don’t call plays.
  14. Yup. We didn’t watch Arch throw into triple coverage all day. He threw into coverage a few times. Fine. It happens. It wasn’t about him missing some wide open reads. That happens too. It was watching him badly miss open WRs with his passes when he made good reads. That’s a different level of fail, and needs to get much better quickly, because that’s a base level of execution that’s non negotiable.
  15. Even with that gameplan…if Arch makes 3-4 of those easy throws, Texas wins easily. It was just a terrible game for Arch and he shouldn’t ever do that again. It’s not who he is.
  16. That was a very good catch. That might have been the only time. Ohio State was up two scores at that point and were just trying to keep everything in front them. Hence all of the empty yards that Texas fans think shows they were actually better. The real issue is that why is Julian Sayin already better than Arch Manning? That on top of Sark turning Quinn Ewers from 5* #1 overall into a 7th round pick would have me really questioning your program.
  17. And CJ Stroud would have torn ya’ll apart lol. Wtf does that have to do with anything? Sayin is already being developed better than Arch is
  18. After watching again I didn't come away any less enthusiastic about Arch. As well as OSU defense played I think the outcome was more on what Arch did or didn't do. Texas and Arch will be ok.
  19. I thought that at the time and looking at your screenshots, it’s clearer that would have had a much better chance than the sneak. That’s what OSU did on their first TD.
  20. We snapped it with 23 seconds left too, so helmet communications were still on to communicate with Arch if they wanted to audible.
  21. Yesterday
  22. Parker Livingstone for a TD?
  23. Very well said ! It’s refreshing to read 🤘🏻
  24. Kyle Flood or AJ Milwee who I assume are in the press box should have seen how Ohio St was stacked in the middle and screamed at Sark to call timeout and not run that play
  25. Sorry, I don’t know how Texas got those yards because their offense wasn’t a threat. I don’t think one of their WRs beat an Ohio State DB the entire game
