OTF on the Road: CE King High School | Wednesday 3:30 pm

2028 CB Cordey Sherman sits around 20 offers. Most recently heard from Ben Wells from Texas, but has heard from Orphey before Visited Texas twice, once for the UTEP game in 2025, and once more in the spring. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/21175600/6912b7f6cc4483b5a6c0fbc1 -
The floodgates on this could really be bad in the newly formed pro Softball League and WNBA, where entry level pros make a fraction of their old NIL levels. Canady signed for peanuts vs her Tech cash.

He’s good to go per OTF reports yesterday

Agreed. Total BS. They are saying he didn’t sign the normal Exhibit 10 … SEC should say rule still stands. He signed a contract of some sort to appear on the Denver Nuggets NBA summer league team, and he played in games!!! It’s no different that NFL guys. This attorney has been 100% spot on and ahead of the curve on all this… his latest today

@Bobby Burton what about Cole Hutson?
-
Just bought my ticket to the Tennessee game. Is the OTF crew going to be on site?!

2028 EDGE Cam Sydnor camped at Texas in the spring and says he still talks with LaAllen Clark a good bit. No visit plans just yet. But someone to monitor. Hang up for a few schools so far has been needing to add some weight. Sydnor, a former basketball player, is right around 225 off the edge. -

Recent North Shore transfer 2027 WR Aubrey Johnson is currently committed to Memphis. Hasn’t heard from Texas, but has heard from Texas a&m quite a bit since the move to CE King. -
UK fans seem pretty confident Mark Mitchell will still play. I wonder why? Not a fan of all the gray on the ruling.

Dillon Mitchell says his focus right now is getting back into football shape after 10.14 in the spring. Says the media attention has been a lot, but it’s been fun for him. Says he hears from Texas in the form of letters mostly from the staff. Mitchell says he’s eyeing the Texas-Ohio State game as a potential visit date. -
I don't know. The fact that they abstained from voting could be more legal maneuvering than how the administration actually feels IMO.

Thanks Bobby b

Can Enos Kanter play for our women’s bball team is the big question?
-
Thanks, Bobby! Is LSU actually thinking about pushing back on this? 😂

Just an FYI - there will be more nuances to the meeting coming out of Birmingham. * There could be other aspects of the new rule not previously revealed. Again, Greg Sankey has the latitude to manage this rule. * One of those is this: I'm told the "no-pro players" ruling will include more sports than just former football, men's basketball and women's basketball players. Volleyball, softball and baseball will also be included. * I'm guessing national reporters will be all over this.

Untold: The Testimony of Vince Young

VY was 22, at a time, when the NFL was transitioning from old school coaches to new ones like Andy Reid. Fisher was straddling both fences, however, he didn't have the stripes to feel comfy in his job. He hadn't won anything. Therefore, he assumed the position of a Warlord. Do as I say or else. Bud Adams certainly didn't help. VY just needed someone who had his back. When McNair was murdered, he fell into a depression. Again, no help. Nowadays, athletes are less vulnerable. Coaches are much more sensitive. Jared Elliott is a great example of this new type of coach. Because Sark has been given a second chance, he is much more cognizant of being there for his players too. Fisher, not responding to VY's letter, is all you need to know what a bitter human being he has remained. He takes no accountability. The part I loved was the reverence Scaife and White had for VY. They understood the pressure he was under. Being a quarterback in the League has to be among the most difficult jobs to have period. Look how many have tried and failed. VY is a hero to many of us. He will remain so. His legacy will be remembered for bringing a joy to us seconded only by the birth of our children. VY is loved by us and will always be so. -
Mind bending to think of Mick and Dolly as contemporaries! 🤯 Her stardom was only exceeded by her persona.
